Probably cause sacks isn't really true indicator on how good an edge rusher really is. It's not like Oweh came in this league showing absolutely nothing. I thought he has a legit chance to win rookie defensive player of the year before his injury later on in the season. His second year was a down year but that's not uncommon for players
Anyone with a football IQ above room temperature could tell you pressures are a much better indicator because they are much more in the control of the pass rusher than sacks are

Can any of us really say we’re surprised given the reputations of Bate and Odell lol. Looks like it’s going to be another overhaul of the WR room this off-season

Is this just a templated response for defending a bad pick? It’s cringey at this point. He wasn’t that great at generating effective pressures Penn State. Same for the NFL. Last year he pressured on 10.4% of his pass rush snaps. That puts him 41st out of 73 qualified edge rushers, below average ….so no sacks , minimal pressures . High five
Honestly if it wasn’t for the Mahomes fumble no one would recall Oweh making a play
Hmmm I think your missing the point. If The Ravens or any team is evaluating college players at the edge rush positions base only on their sack numbers then that's sad. A guy like Curtis Weaver had like 13 sacks his last year in college and didn't even have a better rookie year than Odafe Oweh in the NFl. So yeah it's deeper than sacks for sure.
We did that for a very long time under ozzie, while most teams were drafting traits, and while most teams were finding strong nfl pass rushers the ravens found guys who took 4 years to develop into run stuffers and then they were out of the league
