If we’re not running the ball and going 3 and out consistently you won’t be loving that. Joe goes 3 and out often and hangs our defense out to dry.

Exactly. This is what the Flacco crowd doesn’t understand, there is zero reason to think Flacco is the better option because he has been consistently horrible for 5 years now
I like Joe, but you are right we have had way too many 3 and outs with him and that has to wear on our defense.

The crazy thing is we aren't as bad in the 3 and out category as you think yet our series seems short. So it seems we ran a bunch of plays that got just enough to keep chains moving but not get points. That to me is more egregious.

the lamar hate is gonna come out full fledge in the football world if we lose. i know people can’t wait until we lose to point out everything we already know

We were also passing the ball a lot under Flacco due to our inability to run.

Nah , the kid was not ready to take over but he has pushed the envelope on our run game .

When he throws a bad pass I don’t really get mad . He still has plenty to learn and reps will help.

I was however getting irritated today over the fumbles . We can’t have that .

Besides the Steelers, how often do we beat playoff caliber opponents?

I saw a stat somewhere about our record post SB vs either +.500 or playoff competition and the numbers were hideous. Why should we keep repeating what hasn't been working? People want to mention how we're beating up on bad competition like our wins earlier came against powerhouses...

Can only beat the people on your schedule. The Saints even after Thursday are the class of the NFL and that was a 1 point game decided on a missed extra point. The Saints steamroll the AFC and that was a 1 point game.

The Pats are nothing special this year. The Steelers have taken a step back. The Jags fell off a cliff. The Chiefs are the only real threat in the AFC and the Ravens matchup well with them. Football at its core is a game of matchups and the Ravens have the matchups based on who will be in the playoffs to make it to the Super Bowl.

Yup, Flacco stalls our offense out the gate far too much. That winnable game in cleveland is indicative of this and the defense gave joe every opportunity to give his team the lead.

The Saints game was a loss and to they also just lost to the Cowboys. After that LOSS we then got smacked by the Panthers and Steelers. Do you think if they play that game again that is the same outcome? When are the Pats "special?" For years they've just gone about their business and I honestly think they're more dangerous considering it feels like they're flying under the radar.

Cool... and with that said, we are winning with Lamar, so why bench him? Before he was playing we were on a 3 game skid so why sit the guy who's getting it done? On top of that we're dominating ToP with him. There was nothing consistent about this team prior to him being starter. Now we a reliable run game and the defense seems to be getting better (TBD next week).

Why is it only Lamar getting it done? Our RBS are getting it done as well and our Oline has drastically improved also and our D has been playing much better why is it only the QB who has to take all the good and bad?

The common theme when he is in the game is the run game works and that goes back to when Flacco was healthy. So yes, I will say the threat of him running is opening up the run game. Might also be the 250+ rush yards he's had since starting. I could be wrong though.

I also am not implying he's carrying the team.

The Pats have always had elements of their game that were very good. This year they are trying to have that be their WR group which unfortunately for them is not the way to beat the Ravens. When they win its traditionally been on back of a very underrated secondary but either way all talk of Brady and Bill just made people ignore the areas they were excellent at that they are just not this year. Its like how pundits overrate the Steelers just because they are the Steelers.

i agree, i was talking about from the outsiders, not the fans

Lamar has opened up the run game to an extent alex Collins has not been very good this year and he still wasnt with his chances with Lamar joe never lined up with ty Montgomery or gus so how would we know? Obviously that number drops with Joe but who says we cant establish the run with them?

Get what you're saying. I have a weird feeling about the Patriots this year. I think they'll shock you. Also, best coach in the league will go a long way.

I can see a Pats Saints Bowl. The defensive and offensive disciples of Parcells.

Steelers can go to hell.

This will be an L but I think it’ll be close. They just have too much firepower for our defense.

Yeah I agree this game is a loss ans I had it a loss before the season as well. If we happen to pull this out, we should win division.

We got the slowest S tandem in lg so if hill gets behind the cb, its over. have we ever played a cb on a TE for most of the gaMe? Ive been seeing jimmy and hump play all over the field lately so i wonder if we gonna have them shadow kelce at times

The best way to keep the high powered offenses from scoring? Keep them off the field. That’s what the ravens have been doing with Lamar Jackson. If the Ravens manage to get a 3rd and 5, 3rd and 4, it’s a first down. Haven’t looked at percentages, but it always feels like LJ always gets somehow.

I’m riding Jackson until the wheels fall off, even then, I’m sliding down the highway on the rims, sparks flying.

I really think we win this game, no idea why, just a feeling. 30-33

Keep their offense off the field with our run game and wear down that defense that is historically bad. Keeps the defense fresh to try to get to Mahomes. LJ has to get the fumbling under control, that right there could be the reason Joe starts, but i dont think he should.
