i mean that's a fair question but its a hard one to take seriously until/unless we beat the chiefs lol - with/without lamar im finding it hard to draw a roadmap for us to win this game
It’s more of a hypothetical since everyone expects us to lose—myself included—so why not?

I get that with a long term view and I agree he, or someone else, would have been way better value than Hurst in the 1st round.

This season though, we were not going to have much success with him, Ridley, James, etc... because those guys were not addressing our main issue. Only after Harbaugh was forced into changes by injuries, we started looking like a team that has some hope of breaking from mediocrity after several years.

that's absolutely true and fair too lol
and you can always say that maybe we dont end up drafting orlando brown if we draft hernandez

We most likely don't.

The real issue here is Harbaugh. After Lamar and good run game brought us back to life, talk immediately started about how Harbaugh is, indeed, great and players love him and love playing for him and all that shit.

He needs to go. If injuries didn't happen, he would have never benched Joe or Hurst and would have played Flatley in our lame occasional attempt to run the ball. We'd now be sitting at 5-7 and talking how we work hard every day to get better and not giving up hope. He got lucky on a forced hand.

You want him to bench a RT that just got a new deal instead of playing it out a lil longer to see if he can improve? funny how now people talking about benching flacco when his bum ass shouldve been benched a long time ago,but naw people made excuses over and over again on why he sucked.blamed everything from the wrs, ocs, oline, injuries and even mechanics.. Where are the excuses for harbaugh? I mean this team had been mediocre for the last few yrs. i hate how people talk about his press conferences and stuff, like what do you want him to say? Tbh it dont really matter what he says cause people gonna have something negative to say regardless

Are you addressing me? Because if you are, you are definitely at the wrong address.

Real talk:

If Lamar starts this game and leads us to beat the Chiefs in KC and therefore to a 4-0 record what is everyone’s opinion then? Will we say the Chiefs lost to our defense or make some other excuse? Also if we lose this game will people say he isn’t ready and use it as a reason to show why Flacco should start?

Most people thought this game was a loss WITH Joe Flacco so that’s why I ask this now.
Most people on the board have expressed their love for Jackson numerous times, why continue beating a dead horse?

I hate doing this because so often when I feel good about a game I end up disappointed(browns, panthers, bengals wk2) but I have a few key things that I think decide this game, and if we can handle these key things I think we have a much better chance than most are giving us..

1. Show up intense, sharp, and ready to go, if we come out flat as we are one to do after ripping off a few wins, then this will be over before halftime.

2. Don’t turn the ball over, giving the chiefs extra chances will lose this game, not a single turnover, looking at you lamar.

3. Don’t get cute in the first half and try to prove a point that lamar can throw like you’ve done the past 2 weeks, stick to lamars strengths.

4. There will be multiple crucial 3rd and shorts in this game, Marty, for the love of fuck, resist all urges to call a wildcat power sweep on 3rd and short, it doesn’t work, it never will. The indecisiveness we force from the front is what makes our run game go, we give 2 possible threats to run, along with the threat of a pass, and the run could take literally any gap or either edge, and the defense can’t key in on a gap based on the OLs movement, they have to react well after the handoff, it’s what works, wildcat power sweeps/stretch plays are telegraphed and cuts the field in half, clutter that field and contain at the LOS and it’s an easy stop, no indecisiveness at all, just flow to the ball, it’s literally the absolute worst play call for us on 3rd and short, DONT FUCKING CALL IT.

5. I think Marlon is a great matchup for tyreek hill, he can bump and run with him, he’s bigger and longer and stronger and can put the mitts on him, and he can flip the hips and run with him as well, he isn’t some jumpball freak, he’s a standard route runner with incredible speed, if Marlon can shut down Julio who counters marlons weaknesses incredibly well, I am confident he can have a good game vs hill.

6. Handle kelce by all means. He is the key to this game, use bowser, don’t try to edge rush bowser, have him jam up kelce at the line and zone drop underneath, have Clark and weddle pick him up past the 10, just do it every snap because we can’t be letting him run free like hooper or Vance McDonald, if you don’t do it with bowser, let Kenny young play off a bit and man up with him. Use your defensive players wisely.

7. Stop blitzing Mosley

If we can execute these tasks, we will win. The chiefs have been held to reachable numbers by far weaker defenses than ours, and by teams who aren’t holding the ball for 40 minutes. They have never faced a team like us and if we get off the bus sharp and fired up with a gameplan that isn’t fucking stupid, I really think the chiefs will be in for a big shock, they won’t know what hit them, mahomes is still a young qb who can and will get rattled if our defense gets off the bus on time. aside from the kelce mismatch this defense is tailor made to fuck the chiefs up. Long, physical, and smart secondary, big heavy hitters up front, vs a small finesse and explosive pass based offense with a year 2 qb at the helm, who will have limited opportunities and have to play one dimensional and have to force plays vs a fresh and rested veteran defense.

Guys, the more I think about it, the more I think this game is much close than people think. You don’t have to score with them, you just have to score more than them, and defense and TOP plays in heavily. 2 teams have beat them this year, one wins in a shootout as they are the only team who can do that, but the difference was defense, the other L comes from the Patriots, who didn’t play the chiefs game, they played their own game, they dragged the chiefs down into the mud and made them have to slow down. The few teams capable of this, patriots, ravens, Seahawks, Texans, are the teams capable of beating them. We dictate how games flow now, make this shit flow slowly, beat the shit out of them physically, stress them out, playing their game is a sure way to lose.

It's been along time since we have had an interception. This is our week, I can smell it. Do we win, I don't know, but it could be a much closer game than anyone is giving us credit for.

I simple was wondering what people would say if we beat KC with Lamar and what they would say if we lost. Is Lamar playing with house money because the team was expected to lose even with Joe Flacco or are expectations higher? I’m wondering if Lamar “haters” would become believers or whatever if he beat KC.

So you’re saying there’s a turnover coming...you can feel it?!?!

I am loving the change. I'm fed up with Flacco's lame play and Harbaugh's lack of testicles that brought 500 or worse for years now. And obviously I am not the only one.
I disagree. I think Lamar is the type of QB John likes. John loves to run the football. It’s definitely the definition of what he likes to do. I don’t think John likes the games where we throw 50+ or those absurd games

We’re bringing it back, I CAN FEEL IT!!!

I was trying to avoid that as much as I possibly could
