The Missed Tackles, the Injuries and the Special Teams

While today wasn’t a good game, don’t do a 180 on the energy from the last several weeks. This team is still really good and a contender. A poor loss today doesn’t change that. Still a game we shouldn’t have lost but it is far from doom and gloom.
this is very true, but it's also possible we lost both Humphrey and Stanley today

But what tune were you singing the last couple of weeks or so? Don’t forget what the team is capable of. I get it’s frustrating to see them drop one like this but it’s not the end of the world. Every single team out there is going to have down weeks no matter how good they are.
The tune I had was this team could compete for the SB. I don't deny that. But what I will say is, that was with the stated assumption that this team had enough together especially on offense, to overcome the hiccups of the Colts and Steelers games. We thought that Lions and Seahawks were evidence of that.

Didn't expect us to win out by any means but I didn't expect more losses of the style of today and Colts and Steelers again. That's the unacceptable, identity losses I'm talking about. Championship teams don't have that issue

Our WRs are small, shifty, and have speed. We should definitely be doing more slants. If they are having trouble separating then we can't expect Lamar to stand in the pocket and get killed like he was today with a front like the Browns. We got a nice lead quick and the playcalling got conservative again.

When the coach can't even answer why one of our main weapons only had three carries that's an issue. Also, put Marcus out for the year he's not healthy and is a liability.

We had a chance to grab the bull by the horns in the AFCN, but the Bull kicked our behind! This team doesn't like to have a nice cushion.

Rant over/

Myles took over in the 4th quarter that game. Oweh had a shot there to end the game but the ball rolled back into the O-lines arms.

Johns response in regards to Keaton was shit. What the fuck does that even mean? The guy has been nothing but a spark with the ball in his hands so we take it away? What is the logic there?

Deshaun was 14/14 in the second half. Unacceptable, did Marlon not play the whole second half? Like Tua did last year, Deshaun benefitted from no Marlon which also prompted a comeback loss.

He was scrambling and did a good job getting away from pressure.

I just want to put it out here again that a win this week against the Brownies negates their strength of schedule wins over the Colts and the 49er's if we happen to lose to the 49er's too if we are tied at the end. It also would have put us up a win going into a Bengals game - another Division game - with a team looking to balance our previous win. Winning these two games would have nearly sealed a Division Championship.

The Pats were masters of this during their decade long run. It's a stat that's equal to down and distance and gets overlooked. But with a win today and a win on Thursday, the only team we would have really had to worry about was the Steelers. Now we're back to worrying about all of them.

If the players don't understand that, it's on coaching. If they do and still perform like they did in the 2nd half, it's on them. Sadly, we'll never know which or what combination of the two is true. But the fact is, they could have almost sewed it up today.
