The Nightmare, the Turnovers and the Season's Over

Can we ban this dipshit, Mods? This idiot is still on Flacco’s nuts and actually wanted the Ravens to lose to him in the playoffs. Dude’s a trolling ass loser that only comes around during the tough times

Football is simple. Lose the trenches, lose discipline and give away the ball and you lose games.

The offence imploded.

Just capitulated completely when they had a chance to come back.
Turnover at the 1.
Turnover in FG range.

The other turnover gave the Chiefs 3 points... those 3 plays are more than worth the 10 points we lost by.

The complete disregard for running the ball despite only being down 10 for most of the game...

Was the worst case scenario that we all feared. Ravens beat themselves. Turnovers, penalties. Zay will be the poster boy for it with the taunting penalty, the dive at the 1 and then cutting his own hand in frustration. Lamar threw an awful pick and missed too many deep shots. But no one on offence is free of blame.

Defence gave up two straight TD drives to start the game and outside of 3 points off a short-field, didnt give up a point the rest of the game. Mahomes and Kelce were just better on those first two drives. Mike Macdonald's defence going out with a pretty decent showing in probably his last game as the DC.

Doesn't help that there was zero consistency from the refs. But the Ravens shouldn't have left it up to the refs.

What an awful way for the season to end.

And just like 2019, hard not to feel like this was the year. Not sure where we go from here.

I hate this game sometimes.
What killed us was having ZERO patience. Everything on offense was just so forced when there was no need for it, our D shut them down after the early 2nd TD. Monken played into their hands 100%.

Flowers fucked up but he gets the pass, played great all game. He'll be better for learning from these two mistakes. Lamar wasn't great but it felt like he didn't have anywhere to go to on passing plays, which were, again, completely unnecessary.

Fuck it. Waiting for the revenge game 2025.

I won't be angry or sad or do some long point by point. But I wanna know why in the LJ era the playoff losses have all looked the same? Why is that our trenches have their worst games of the year and the supporting crew let's Lamar down. Lamar has to force it and it just means end of game ints. I don't get it.

played like we didnt know what we were doing in a game this big
chiefs looked like they belonged in this game - and it's because they do, they've played in it 6 years in a row and won it 4 of those 6 times now

Just remember folks... when the NFL says they care about women they are actively promoting a Head Coach whose drunk antics injured a little girl and changed her whole life. Hope the NFL is happy that Andy Reid gets gifted another Super Bowl while his son nearly killed someone.

I don't want to make this a fire Harbaugh thread and I know we just made it to the AFC championship but the common denominator you know who it is. It's like we don't learn. Yes, the coordinators come up with the game plan but it's the same questions we had after Titans game.

Why did we stop running? Where were the slants and short passes we saw with the Texans.

Teams like the Chiefs and Patriots before them stay on top by doing exactly what they did tonight. Stay calm, stay focused, and jump on any opportunity they get. The teams like the Ravens and Bills try to force things, and get away from the things they do best.
Great summary!

Of all the takes, this is certainly one of them

Remember, this is a tough lost, but no matter what, we hold our head high and stay Raven proud.

it all looks great until the moment it all falls apart
on offence, nothing is able to pick up for the failure of the rest of the group

and i reckon we'll come back and ultimately say that our undoing was our OT play and our running back room
