Thomas is a game-changer. He gives us that center-fielder that we've been missing since Reed left. Sure, Weddle was good/great for the first couple of seasons, but his ability was still declining and he still had nowhere near the range that Thomas has. Our defense has potential to be even better than last year...

Earl Thomas is just a great fit for this defence - it allows the defence to be flexible but we can also play more cover 1 if we want which would free up TJ to roam around some more - or we play it similarly to last year where both safeties can move around based on the keys they see and what they read pre-snap

he's also got that attitude on the back end that means i think he'll fit really well with our DB group

i think also what it tells you is that this new system Wink's built revolves around a quality cerebral safety
