Free Agency 2019

One stat to know with Ingram. Only Gurley had more TDs in the RZ since 2014. An extremely important point given our lack of efficiency there last year.
 
I'm not crazy about Thomas. On the surface it's great. If he remains healthy it is a terrific signing, clearly but I'm not crazy about a guy flipping off his own sideline....I'm not mad about signing a guy that has climbed the mountain with another team for that amount of money. And I'm hoping this doesn't preclude us drafting Savage or Adderly given the opportunity. I would absolutely still draft either one.

And lost in all of the Earl hype is that we got Ingram for a good deal. I figured it wouldn't come close to $8M/year. $5M is a good number.

he is the best FS, but hasn't played a full season in 3 years. I'm really excited we landed Earl Thomas for the reasons that you posted and he's a perfect fit for Winks scheme.

he flipped off his own sideline after they made him stick around on a contract he wasnt happy with with no injury guarantees or future money and he didnt even hold out like bell did - he held out of some practices etc. but still turned up on gameday and played great for them

he only flipped them off after despite everything he's done for them he broke his leg for them when he wasnt happy with his job security

i have zero problems with his character or anything
my one issue would be that he's gonna be 30 when the season starts and just came off a season ending injury - that being said it sounds like it was a pretty clean break and he's not old - he's just nearly 30 and it seems like most of the money in his contract is in the first 2-3 years of the contract too
