He attended Ngata’s conference but Jeff Z thinks he’s heading home now to think about the decision with his family.

Well he's already home and discussed the decision with his new family ;) oh.... you mean home home.

With what money? We've barely got the money to pay him market value.

He says he wants to play for a contender and none of the teams he's visited fit that bill of a contender. We are another year or so off, Cleveland needs one more offseason and Carolina may or may not have Cam Newton this season. Cam Newton had shoulder surgery and hasn't resumed throwing yet which sounds very familar to what happened with Andrew Luck following his shoulder surgery.

It's plausible that he believes in the Browns hype and thinks they're a contender. They also have the money to pay him on a 1, 2 or 3 year deal.

Cbssports reported that he is choosing between 2 AFCN teams, so obviously it’s us or Cleveland.

Gut tells me he definitely wants to be here, but the money is now the issue. I’d absolutely push some money into 2020 and have a 2021 salary higher than his guarantees. I’m sure that he’d love the security of knowing he’s playing for a top defense long enough to finish his career

Yea but playing for the browns knowing theyre experience away from competing is much better

Pfft funk that if he wants the money go to Cleveland and get shut down twice a year until you retire (it'll be great bulletin material). While also putting up with that circus of a roster. Now if u want to experience a true family atmosphere and go out with honor stay here....getting paid handsomely I should add.

McCoy has never made the playoffs in hie tenure with the Buccaneers, the Browns have never been a contender for his whole career in Tampa. We've shown solid consistency of a winning team every year he's been in the league. I do feel we are a year or so away in terms of letting the young guys develop but McCoy would help us win now. Cleveland has the money but also McCoy is a fan of Lamar Jackson so.... we'll see.

McCoy will visit the Panthers this week. It's clearly not about winning then. The Panthers also have less cap space than we do. Maybe he just likes free kale?

Ugh.... the Panthers are soley about sticking it to the Bucs, nothing else.

If I'm the Browns, I'm selling him on one of the best front 4 lines in the in the league, shedding the old Browns label and $$$$$! Being a part of the culture change would be huge and the truth is, that line would be NASTY with his addition. Vernon, Richardson, McCoy and Garrett? I only hope he comes here now so we don't have to face that...

Fudge the browns, I actually believe we have the personal to cause havoc already. The only thing McCoy would bring is the ability to keep everyone fresh but then again that's not always the case. Sometimes guys need to be on the field alot cause they get better and better as the game goes on. If he chooses to come here cool if not so what. Pierce and Henry could need contracts next season and William's could be gone(I said trade him last year when he was a hot name). Keep rebuilding thru the draft we'll be alright.

McCoy isn’t about keeping guys fresh, we have a rotation already, but what we lack is interior pass rush, Henry May or may not bring that, but we can’t depend on him to suit up, and other than that we don’t have pass rushing DTs, Michael Pierce should honestly be a pro bowler, but McCoy would be the best DL on this team by far just because he can make so many more splash plays than anyone and is well rounded to never need to rotate other than for fatigue

“ i wanna play for a contender” by now you should all know that players only say that to keep people off their back. Id say the same thing to prevent then from asking what team i wanna play for

Some players really want to, or they wanna go somewhere they feel welcomed and enjoy the culture of the team, Steve Smith did exactly that, he chose the culture over everything because the patriots were definitely better contenders and he could've gotten better money elsewhere
