First of all Happy New Year to everybody.

This is my last post of 2017. Lets sweep in the new year.
Just wanted to touch on a couple things. First with immigration please understand I'm ok with legal immigration regardless of background. Legal immigration only. Also against chain migration. Its way too vast. I mean how many times do people get deported and keep coming back. Its a joke and yes a lot of our heroin epidemic here is caused by this laxness. Its just a fact. Sanctuary cities are also a joke and a slap in the face. According to the Constitution the federal govt controls naturalization which is immigration but lib judges for instance constantly went against the travel ban even tho it was finally granted by the Supreme court 7-2 . Sotomayer and Ginsberg were the nays and neither one gave a written reason as to why. I know I'm going a little offtrack but judges especially liberals are not following the code of law but going with their heart and their beliefs. For instance in Hawaii that judge used tourism and college entrancy as an excuse. Really? Then another time he used that Trump said Muslim ban as being racist even tho Noko and Venezuela were included. These are my opinions but I don't like the way libs seem to throw the Constitution out the window.
2nd with abortions I have said in previous I'm ok with my tax dollars going towards brth control and other safety measures for sex. To me its on the individual tho cuz they make their own decisions. See it shouldn't be a federal issue. It should belong to the states and their elected politicians say for example lets use Md. If the people elect a governor and the district councilman that believe in abortions then so be it then since the residents of Md would be taxed to pay for it. Remember the 10th amendment. I'm a strong believer in it. If you ever get the chance please look at the 18 enumerative powers the fed govt has according to the Constitution. Whats in that the fed gov controls and it includes naturalization and defense as 2 for example the rest goes to the states. To make amendments you need 2/3 of senate and house and 3/4 of states which is why you'll never see change to electoral college. No way you get 3/4 of states to agree to that.
As for Trump I believe the racism is way overblown. Yes I know about the apartment thing in 1973 but at the time it was his father running it and times were just different back then. Still wasn't right tho. As for the Mexican criminal/rapist thing the way he said it was tho theres a lot of good people in Mexico they're not sending their best and they're also letting criminals and rapists over. If you really look at that statement its not the best thing to say for sure but a true racist would hate all Mexicans. If you think about what comes illegally across the border and I can tell you right now its not doctors and scientists but lower level looking for better life and guess what criminals. As for the Muslim thing yes again not the proper way to say things but you gotta remember he's not a trained silver tongued lying lawyer politician. The point is right now those countries govts are in shambles and people there cannot be properly vetted. Just know he did not have to run for president. He could have sat back and been a fat cat enjoying the laws that make the rich rich not having his name drug thru the mud and under constant observation.
I also like the tweets and I know its coming from him and not somebody else putting words in his mouth.
I know you're gonna disagree with a lot I have said but that's why this is such a great country.....

I think most people (outside of massive racists) are okay with legal immigration. It's just that the immigration process is long and arduous for those outside of the US and it's very likely that a lot of these immigrants have no idea how to even begin the process. I do understand that illegal immigration should be controlled because you need to screen all who come into your country, but I dislike the argument of them taking jobs or what ever. So many of them just want to do the hard labor jobs that take extremely long hours (like 60+ a week) and require a lot of physical exhaustion in any element. Like I said, I'm not one who wants to do jobs like construction and most people look down on those jobs, so I'm hardly one to complain about them taking jobs. I've never been like, "Damn, that illegal immigrant just took my microbiology research opportunity."
Also, I think it's really misplaced to put the heroin epidemic onto immigrants. The number one state for heroin and opiates is West Virginia, more specifically areas like Huntington. My girlfriend is from that area and it is the whitest area you'll ever be in and is generally pretty racist. I can promise you that immigrants aren't migrating to WV and planting heroin there. I would say it is very naive to suggest that immigrants are the cause for that.
I was almost a poly sci major focusing on Con Law. If you ever want to discuss anything related to it, I'm always down, but I can guarantee that the judges aren't just throwing out the Constitution. They, much like myself, view the Constitution as a living, breathing document that needs to evolve with time and take that into account. This was written in the late 1700's. What was written then cannot always be taken literally as some want to do.
As far as I'm aware, federal funding cannot be used for abortions under Title X except in certain cases under the Hyde Amendment. Medicaid makes up most of the funding and that's generally through the states. It's a lot more state tax payer money than it is federal government money. But in any case, I can promise your federal tax payer money has gone to some really, really stupid things before. The Pentagon used $6M in taxpayer dollars air lifting like six rare cashmere goats to Afghanistan in an effort to help boost their economy. Yep, you paid $6M to airlift goats.
It's even beyond that, though. Think of Trump referring to Sen. Warren as Pocahontas in front of Indian Tribal Leaders. Think of his hard campaign against Obama and challenging his legitimacy. Think of how he was slower to respond to Hurricane Maria and said Puerto Ricans just want everything done for them. Think of the extremely slow response to Charlottesville. Think of how, in the after math, he cut funding from the Department of Homeland Security to combat extreme right wing racism (KKK, Neo-Nazis). Think of his remarks about Judge Curiel not being able to reside over his Trump University case because Curiel is of Mexican descent. No, Trump isn't out there waving a Nazi flag and sporting a KKK hood, but it's a lot of small things that add up.
I'll give it that his Twitter account has brought me many a laughs and made me raise a few eyebrows. Never a dull moment there.
And you are correct; we will disagree with just about everything. But it doesn't make me think less of you or dislike you. I just disagree with your view.
