If we can teach my generation to be willing to relocate and work with their hands, boy is there work and opportunity to get on top with that

Why they ever got rid of vocational schools for juniors and seniors in high school is beyond me. Was great for kids who were average students. Say you wanted to become a welder you would take 4 hrs of math, english, social studies and science and then get 2 hrs of vocational training and after awhile getting experience also out in the field. By the time you was done with your 2 yrs you already had your journeyman's lisensce aka experience.

Oh, I know- I was just saying, there's a lot of young people, myself included, who just aren't cut out for it. I try to do repairs on my car and it's like the gates of Hell have opened with all the curses that I sling. Just not a real fit for me.

But there are absolutely a group of people who aren't quite cut out for the college route and are too skilled to be working at McDonald's and all they need to do is simply look for that vocational program. For example, my girlfriend's brother really isn't cut out for college, but can do anything you'd want on a car without any formal training or schooling. He works in an auto-parts store right now, but my girlfriend and myself just aren't sure if he'll simply go to school for the year or two he needs to get the mechanic license. It's sad because he has the skill and ability, but he might just not take the next step.

I also want to add that as a society, we should not knock jobs that are blue collar because 1. It's an honest living that pays bills and 2. Someone has to do it.

Sure, being a plumber may not be a glorious and amazing job, but if no one wanted to be a plumber, who fixes your damn sink when it breaks. I saw a quote that said, "Don't criticize and simultaneously expect service." You cannot put down jobs like construction, plumbing, mechanics, etc. when they are so vital to our every day lives.
Agree. Knocking the services injury (I don’t like using the term blue collar) isn’t the right thing to do.

I’m a fiduciary investment advisor focused on alternative wealth building and college funding solutions. Along the way I meet many students that aren’t cut out for college. Not because they aren’t smart, because they would be best suited at vocational school to learn their trade.

Where I'm at, we have a vocational school for all sorts of things. EMT, welding, mechanics, cosmetology, etc.

If you don’t mind me asking, what type of career are you looking for? Do you have one job you have your heart set on, or are there several things you would be happy doing if one came available?

no i have a wide range of things id be happy to go into - and ill take the opportunity in whichever one comes first

that would mean the system would like to actually help kids get decent jobs which in turn means they spend that money in the community helping small business take off.

instead they rather you go to college and graduate with a brand new GT Ford Mustang on your head in loans

Everyone remembers when CNN blew up about Trump admitting sexual assault with grabbing pussy and forced kissing etc but then when the news about Harvey Weinstein long sexual assault history a few days ago they're saying "don't politicize rape"... really?? and on the other side you have Fox News going crazy on Weinstein and Hollywood but avoiding the issue on Trump being a pervert too.

Now the point I'm trying to make is why do people takes sides and become hypocrites? can't we just call everybody on their bulls***?

To be fair the Trump situation has fully been covered and yes Fox news did reopen it comparing it to the Weinstein situation questioning the hypocrisy of the left mainly the "feminists" wondering how come no marches with those cool looking hats. Just goes to show you about elites and why I don't like them dictating to us how we should live while they got their own doctors, send their kids to private school and have armed bodyguards.

i wasnt aware that sexual assault and rape was a political issue - everywhere else in the world it was all reported and major change is touted because of it - the problem is that the media in the US is so partisan but no one has any interest seemingly in watching non-partisan networks because there's so much ineptitude on both sides and no one can bare to see their side criticised - this isnt that i think both sides are as bad as each other but until there's an appetite for de-politicising the networks or less scepticism about news or even just people fact-checking stuff for themselves i fear that every single issue is going to continue to be politicised

which is awful because it leaves real human victims with no solace or closure - and i dont get this idea that weinstein and trump arent the same issue or even on the same side... they are emblematic of each other to be honest - toxic old white powerful masculinity

If anyone is familar with Project Veritas, you know they're serious about what they do. However, the video below is pure satire and I thought it was hilarious:

Good stuff Dom and thank goodness you mentioned this was satire since some people would take this serious. The best line was the one guy saying "I'd rather be hunting Bigfoot but Alex keeps making me do politics". Interesting that they brought up the aluminate. In case you didn't know they were believed to be giants that were around 12' tall way back in history.

No kidding. As crazy as Alex Jones is sometimes, I'm a fan of his. Same goes for Project Veritas and the amazing work they do. I knew this video was satire the moment I saw it.

Anyone else hearing about a November 4th blackout drill to simulate an EMP or CME? Coincidentally the same day as the antifa civil war bullshit? I've seen no confirmative sources but have yet to see a debunking.

Yeah I heard about it. I wonder if the more people become aware of this, the less likely it'll happen.

i was just thinking the same thing - if the media starts spouting it out as fact then the government will stop all the plans and when it doesnt happen shout fake news at the outlets that published

and if the media doesnt report it then likely the government gets their way, the antifa march gets blacked out, people get scared because of a potential north korean EMP (no way its extreme solar weather) which is self-inflicted because of all the escalation in the trump adminstration

its a weird catch 22 that the administration has them in unless they can confirm the drill from an official source on record

I don't know what those things mean...

It seems to be stemming from obamas executive order to prep for solar flares he issued October 13 last year. But that seemed to be a long list of delegating, what each major association is obligated to do etc. but there was nothing about drills or a date for a blackout drill.
