No problem, maybe Baltimore City is an anomaly in many areas, but I feel I better stick to what I know. If it seems I am a little feisty tonight, it probably has to do with my heavy heart and not getting much sleep last night due to events yesterday and today with my BPD brother in blue. It was very upsetting.
Yes I heard about that and google it. Wow, so sorry for your loss.

im sorry also for the way i spoke to you too dude - it's just an issue that's close to my heart
It is all good, and I am sure we both would like for any scumbag that would sexually victimize any woman, child, disabled, elderly, or weaker individual, to get what they deserve, if not in this world then certainly the next.

and there's my problem - i dont believe in the next world so much - probably why im so desperate that people who make those decisions are punished for them now - i certainly dont want them representing large swathes of mankind

Even though I am a God fearing man, I can understand where you are coming from. I often think how wonderful this world would be if everyone treated each other with respect and kindness.

it's what i never understand about all these people - i dont get what enjoyment they really get out of making other people feel awful - i cant ever really even insult someone with any vigour because i instantly feel guilty let alone do anything actually criminal or demeaning...

yes you are - you are suggesting that false rape accusations are commonplace - of course women have lied before - so do men - why would you believe roy moore and donald trump over the 19 (public) women who have accused trump and the (at least) 6 women who have accused moore...

id take the consensus over the prattling of 2 men known to lie - and in moore's case there is some damning character witness behaviour about inappropriate attempts to engage in relationships as well

Quit reading the Daily Beast and maybe you might have your facts straight when it comes to Trump. As I said before Moore's situation was very strangely timed and one woman has already been caught lying and she was the one with supposed physical truth.

how was he unconstitutional - he tried to pass numerous legislation that was blocked and filibustered inexcusably by the republicans in the house and the senate

Oh crimineys I'm not gonna take a page and a half from this forum but I'll just throw out the Paris Climate Agreement as one since any laws that are made with other countries without senate ratification is unconstitutional which is why it was so easily changed by Trump. See here Congress is the legislative branch not the president but he circumvented them with executive orders.

Did you happen to know this man? Again people dont realize the danger our police face in the streets. I hope they get the bastard that did this.

Ummm what?
1) I have never read the daily beast ever... never heard of them til you brought them up
2) timing is not suspicious it’s obvious - it’s happened just as the floodgates on past sexual abuses have opened on a man who might have nearly been elected - surely this is the only time that makes sense for historical allegations to come forward
3) I have seen no evidence that Roy moore’s accusers (any of them) have been caught lying
4) isn’t it telling that trump has condemned al Frankenstein (as he should) but stayed mum on Roy Moore?

And on Paris:
1) Paris was never part of us law because the us never got round to ratifying it - not sure how Obama could be accused as unconstitutional there given that in trump’s first year he has already issued 52 executive orders
2) I don’t get what’s the problem with the Paris agreement given that it is crucial to the planet
3) the USA is now the only country in the word that had not backed the Paris agreement - literal backwaters and countries who wanted even stronger measures have ratified it

1-As well rounded as you are you never heard of the Daily Beast. Ok.
2-Allegations should have came out during the primaries.
3-The woman with the yearbook he supposedly signed you know the one where he put D.A. after his name even tho he wasn't district attorney atm said she never saw him again but yet her divorce case was tried in front of him in 1999. Pardon?
4-Franken said he was guilty and this was the 1st comments Trump made on it. He already talked about Moore before. What do you want him to do keep repeating himself?

1- Why everybody so upset for then?
2- Give the US a better deal then. Seemed like we was funding most of the project and yes I totally trust China to hold up their end of the agreement. You guys cant even pay your fair share in NATO.
3- Good luck. I'm sure everybody will play fair.

Why’s everyone upset? Because climate change is probably the greatest currently known threat to mankind... it’s important - I dunno the context of you asking that question but I’m upset the us won’t ratify because as a major producer of unclean energies they are a large part of the problem if unchecked

A better deal? This isn’t about economics this is about the future of the globe - those who affect a larger amount of dioxides have a larger burden but that’s on them - I’m not sure how the deal changes - and tbh outside of coal power plant companies I think the fact that many self-centred elites still want to abide by the Paris agreement despite trump not ratifying it tells you all you need to know morally about how wrong trump is

And yes I do trust China to hold up their end of the deal because their population is suffering from the byproducts more than any other in the world - China has a health crisis that they are committed to reducing

And this is the major problem - the Paris agreement isn’t really political at all - political enemies and allies alike all ratified it because it’s a greater goal than any war (or the like) and represents a commitment to younger generations that the world won’t be left in a worse place for us/them

See I don't take climate change as serious as you do as there's also a lot of scientists that say its overblown also but I don't think its a bad thing that you care so much.

Reason I see it was a bad deal is we was forking out the most money which is understandable compared to Europe but China has put little to nothing in. We were supposed to do the bulk of rebuilding infrastructure in India and I'm not quite sure if Russia is in the agreement tbh. Last I remembered they wasn't but you said every country. Since China had until 2020 I believe they would have a major advantage in economic growth over the US. Sorry not good for us maybe we can come in 2020 like China. And no I don't trust them.

There is not one peer-reviewed study in global science that suggests Man-made climate change is not an issue so tbh I don’t really care if it’s fair on the usa and China and Russia because I’d rather like to be able to still live on this planet in 30-40 years time

Well in 40 years I just want to go to Ravens games without a walker

That's assuming there's still even a Maryland in 40 years' time in which to go to Ravens games. :p

In seriousness, I typed up a reply a while ago detailing how the Paris agreement is just every country in the world (except one - guess which) promising to cut emissions by enough to limit the rise in the world temperature - and how several other countries (including and especially China) are already taking the initiative by implementing policies out of their own wallets - but I always get depressed when I see climate change discussed as a partisan issue as if there's two sides to it (when it really should be a bipartisan one) and said countries' policies being discussed as if it's some kind of game theory move like OPEC where someone else cutting corners means everyone else foots the bill when in fact someone else cutting corners means we're all left high and dry.

I just don’t understand why people refuse to believe it and that it is as bad as it is - science has a unanimous consensus on this issue in peer-reviewed studies - no one doubts any other parts of “science” so why this one?

You’re 100% right this should not be and should never have been a partisan issue

Yeah, anti-vaxxers are another one. I understand being concerned but if someone's that vehemently opposed to them despite all the literature then there's honestly nothing to discuss. Germ theory or gravitational theory aren't up for debate so there's no reason climate science should be.

But forget not being a partisan issue (btw the Bush-era tax breaks for EVs was a good bipartisan win so at least there's that), coming together to solve a mutual problem where all parties have vested stakes is one of the best ways there is to keep things amicable between a rising power and an established one - known as the Thucydides trap that has led to war about 90% of the time in history (now if only the world's two biggest carbon emitters had some kind of relationship where one was an established global power and the other was a rising one, that situation might be applicable).

That’s an interesting concept - I’d never heard of Thucydides trap before - but you’re right that climate change has the potential to be the space race/arms race that diverts possible war into other “healthier” competition

We can only hope climate change is that competition but trump doesn’t seem to think so...

I was wrong about the 90%, it was actually 75% of cases going back to the 16th century (here's an excellent read on the phenomenon - and before anyone accuses me of peddling leftist propaganda this was written while Obama was president) but I suspect if you went back beyond that France-Hapbsburgs clash the number would increase. But it's the kind of dynamic that requires a delicate touch and a more nuanced approach than simply seeing things in terms of winners and losers where the winners take all and the losers get crushed. That's why every foreign minister in the Asia-Pacific is on edge atm.

Solving climate change and the move to renewables are a great avenue for forming a co-operative and productive relationship between the world's major powers while creating massive new export markets. I mean, you're literally looking at the most likely solution for bringing about world peace AND making a fuck ton of money for everyone in the process. What's not to like?
