The King, the First 3 Quarters, and the Complete and Utter Capitulation...AGAIN!!!

I keep saying that there will be a huge ref scandal that will break.... and I'm still in the belief that will happen. Obviously nobody is going to admit it but if a whistleblower were to come forward.... just saying. These calls over the past 15-20 years has gotten worse, while technology has greatly improved and the NFL is choosing to ignore the advancement in technology to help improve the accuracy of calls. Like the NFL really thinks we can't see the things happen.
Will also say that no matter Dallas’ recent form it was never going to be easy beating a desperate team in their stadium. Good win, a win that was sorely needed.
Yes good win! You guys will be fine!

The only thing I can find online is that MAYBE there's a loophole where you can't call intentional grounding because the pass was caught. However the rule on the NFL operations website states that "a realistic chance of completion is defined as a pass that is thrown in the direction of and lands in the vicinity of an originally eligible receiver". The OL was clearly ineligible so there is no realistic chance of completion.

At the time, I thought maybe there was some overlap rule or something where the illegal touch negates grounding. After reading the rules, they should have thrown 2 flags, one for grounding and one for illegal touching. There's no negation there. It makes me so angry with how we've been penalized. If I had access to the game replays, I would go back to every penalty and see how many of them were soft/phantom and which team they were called for. Would be a great YouTube video and help us see if it's been as bad as we think or if we're biased.

It's like they aren't even trying to hide it. Every week(all 3 this year) there have been multiple calls that are obviously incorrect, and that have been damning to our momentum. It would be different if it were going both ways, but that hasn't been the case.

This is the part that bothers me the most

I can only think of maybe 1 or 2 of those penalties that went our way and I don't think any of them extended our drives or stopped our opponent. I know our team has issues, but we don't need the refs on top of that

A win is a win, but damn, giving up 19 points in any quarter in any game is not good. I missed a lot of the broadcast in the 4th quarter and don’t really know WTH happened, but we gotta stop shitting the bed after getting the lead.

What a great first half though, Lamar looked fully in control, offense got into a rhythm and moved the ball seemeingly at will. Really good play to build on and draw from. I know Dallas has been weak against the run, but that was impressive. Hopefully they get the passing game cranked up as well, we’ll obviously need it clicking to beat the better teams.
It's like the expression goes, "When it rains it pours." The near chokejob began when Tucker missed yet again another FG. From that moment forward, offense was struggling to move the ball and defense was bending AND breaking. Just a disaster.

Oh I almost forgot, they recovered an onside kick.

What happened to roquan smith? Hes actually been shit this year. There’s Orr putting him in bad spots, then there’s him just not making tackles he usually makes, not being close enough to defend passes he usually defends, he seems like he’s really not doing anything out there. If there was a player I never had a concern about, it was him, but now I’m concerned.
This might beca good thing.. we know they all can so its just a matter of time. Playoffs come and we look like last years defense

as it pertains to the offense, it is clear that we went into conservative mode and when they came back tried asking a cold offense to turn it on again.

it just makes no sense. we have been doing this now for a very long time. It does not make any sense.

Glad I missed most of that.

Very disappointed in the lack of play action down the stretch. Plenty of opportunities when they were doing everything to stop the run.

John really said that penalties cost us points at the end of the game. Um... no. Our conservative play calling when we were going up and down the field with zero issues cost us points. Yeah there's been questionable penalties but also a lot of dumb legit ones that happen every year and nothing is done to fix it.

Blaming Penalties for the conservative playcalling is ridiculous.

Some random comments.

Good: A Washington, I love that little guy with the large attitude
Good: Hamilton looked more like himself
Good: Van Noy
Bad: Why the fuck does Monken think that Flowers is a gadget player who you cannot pass to beyond 5 yards?
Bad: Eddie Jackson
Bad: Rosengarten being benched after last week?

Awful: The dynamic kickoff. Kick it into the endzone every time, there is no gain in trying to stop a return. At best you stop them at the 28 and you risk injuries and penalties. Bullshit

Interesting observation here. I wonder if Stout has always held like this or if it's something he started this season. May or may not be a factor regardless

The Texans are doing the same shit with Tank Dell and they are losing their minds over there.
