The King, the First 3 Quarters, and the Complete and Utter Capitulation...AGAIN!!!

Interesting observation here. I wonder if Stout has always held like this or if it's something he started this season. May or may not be a factor regardless

So not only can Stoudt shank punts and be inconsistent, he is a lousy place holder ?!?!

Honestly we need to move on from this guy next year if things don’t dramatically improve.

I saw that yesterday....and when you look at when the issues started it lines up

When he first started missing I felt it was most likely something going on with one or both of the other 2, comparatively new pieces. Kicking is all about repetition and muscle memory, and any small difference would mess with the groove. Hopefully Tuck works it out soon.

I’m not worried about the offense outside of the lack of Mark Andrews usage. I’m wondering if he is just not 100% because his lack of usage is slightly alarming.

I am worried about the defensive play calls. I rewatched the 4th quarter, yes I am a glutton for punishment, and I noticed how often the Ravens would play well on 1st and 2nd down only to blitz on 3rd down and give up a quick pass. I just don’t understand why they kept doing it.

Harbaugh said today that it's a technique thing with Tucker and that they know exactly what it is
I’m not stressed because the power is still clearly there. He is also missing them all in the same direction so the accuracy is still there, they just keep all being placed incorrectly. That tells me it’s fixable.

I think it's still worrisome, but I also have the faith that they'll get it figured out. He's got this weird hook thing going on about halfway through the flight which seems to indicate it's something in how he's striking it. Don't know if it's something leading up to the kick leading to foot placement issues or simply where he's striking the ball, but it seems they know what it is.

with Andrews, im not worried right now
he looked fine against the raiders and was blocking his ass off this week in the run game - think it was just a run-heavy game plan with more heavy type personnel called for

One more thing - one thing that Jackson simply cannot do is a hardcount. Just srop trying that, better to fake the Kolar play from last week. Or just punt the sucker away instead of wasting our time. If we want to move it back, do a false start instead.

Would you trust Tucker right now to make a 50 + yarder? I wouldn't .Whats gonna happen when the weather turns cold?

This could be a real problem if they don't get this fixed immediately.

I don't trust him right now, but I do have trust that they're going to get it fixed. Tucker has been so good for so long that he certainly more than earns the benefit of the doubt. If we're still dealing with this in the next 3-4 games, I'll have much bigger concerns.

He better figure it out way before then with the Bills and Bengals on the horizon. His kicks have made impacts in negative ways in all 3 games so far this season.

It's not like they're cutting him if he's still struggling 2 weeks from now though

I'm not worried about Andrews and Likely (yet). I mean I am because most tight ends haven't had much of an impact this season. It's down seasons for most tight ends because of the 2 high shell defenses have been playing. My concern is if this is the trend moving forward come late season push and playoffs, the lack of tight end involvement will kill Baltimore because that's where there best pass catchers are. But as a player I am not worried about Likely or Andrews. Offensive coordinators will adjust and we will just have to lean on Henry and Lamar for a bit.

Ro is one person I didn't think would be affected with Orr taking over, since he was his linebackers coach last season. Orr is obviously not putting him in good spots and that needs to change.
Ro is also missing tackles and consistently coming up a cunthair short of batting the pass, doesn’t look like a coordinating issue to my untrained eye

The only thing I can find online is that MAYBE there's a loophole where you can't call intentional grounding because the pass was caught. However the rule on the NFL operations website states that "a realistic chance of completion is defined as a pass that is thrown in the direction of and lands in the vicinity of an originally eligible receiver". The OL was clearly ineligible so there is no realistic chance of completion.

At the time, I thought maybe there was some overlap rule or something where the illegal touch negates grounding. After reading the rules, they should have thrown 2 flags, one for grounding and one for illegal touching. There's no negation there. It makes me so angry with how we've been penalized. If I had access to the game replays, I would go back to every penalty and see how many of them were soft/phantom and which team they were called for. Would be a great YouTube video and help us see if it's been as bad as we think or if we're biased.
According to harbs presser today this is exactly the case. Illegal touching overrules intentional grounding, and that is fucking horseshit

I'm not so sure about that... I get Tucker is a long-time Ravens legend but you can't sit back and do nothing while watching him kick 60% and lose games for the team. If Harbaugh's seat gets hot I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of competition comes in for Tucker. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt being the GOAT kicker that he can turn it around, but you also can't have a kicker ruin a season for a team no matter how great they once were. I do think personnel and coaching changes are looming if the Ravens lose the next two games.

I think you haven’t been watching how the Ravens have operated for their entire existence if you think that’s gonna happen
