They can keep Orr as DC by title, if they want, but just say that Pees is calling the plays - because a new DC wouldn't be adding much new stuff at this stage anyway - and see whether that helps. It couldn't hurt - things could hardly be worse.

Did anyone catch his first sack? It's possible I missed it- I recall him getting the credit on a 1 yard gain or LOS tackle in the first half but maybe they called it a sack?
 
I have no major complaints today. Was worried off the jump that Nix was moving the ball seemingly at will, but the defense settled in. I know people are still down on them but I think a day like today helps build some confidence. It was a solid effort from that unit which is much better than what we've seen most of this year. Build on it.

PQ clearly a loss as a blitzer
Clowney clearly a loss as an edge rusher

we didnt have to send 5 much last year at all - we had one of the lowest blitz rates in the league

used a ton of sim pressures with PQ and stunts to create 1v1 matchups or free rushers

oweh's been disappointing after a really strong start, ojabo's been a real let down after a promising first couple of weeks, KVN has been fine but he's clearly not a guy you build your pass rush around (he's a great 2nd/3rd EDGE as a pass rush/pass down specialist)

it's frustrating that after all the picks invested (2024 3rd rounder, 2023 4th rounder, 2022 2nd rounder, 2021 1st rounder, 2021 5th rounder) that we're probably going to have to invest with a high pick again this year

Crazy though that Queen and Clowney aren’t doing much for the teams they went to. Clowney has only one sack .

i dont think queen is a big loss in coverage or the run game as much as he was an elite blitzer and that helped open up space in the rush for the good pass rushers we had - he was a weapon in the blitz game - i think simpson is a more than adequate replacement for the other parts of his game

clowney had a career year, despite KVN having the bigger numbers, there's a reason Clowney got the contract he did, he was a game wrecker at times for us - he's also gone from a talented defence (supposedly) to a talent poor defensive team that's losing a lot (limiting his pass rush opportunities) but he helped the panthers secure their 2nd win today with a great pass rush at the end of the game
