Hall of Famer
Throwing out the negatives first. Will do the positives tomorrow. Fortunately, there are a lot of positives.
This is not a team. This a set of disorganized and undisciplined players and coaches propped up and saved by the overwhelming talent of Lamar Jackson.
Harbs challenge was dumb and wasted a needed TO again.
Orr is largely inept and can't figure out cover 0 doesn't work for us and for 10 weeks we can't run zone properly. Also can't consistently get the play in fast enough.
Monken was also on his dumb bullshit at multiple points this game. Yeah we scored a lot but if you really rewatch it you'll see that it's overwhelmingly backyard ball between Lamar and Andrews plus a Tylan big play. This was not the on time offense we saw last week against an immensely better defense. Also Monken doesn't get that Henry needs carries consistently.
OL was trash. Literally tons of penalties both pre and post snap. They also make Lamar run for his life constantly.
Diontae Johnson is garbage and if he steals even one more snap from Tylan, someone should be fired.
Pass rush is either bad or "gets close". Anyone not named Nnamdi can't get a guy on the ground and every time the extended play leads to Stephens or Roquan giving up something big.
ILB is garbage. What does Simpson do? Everytime you see Roquan, it's ugly.
Marlon is a fucking stud. Nate makes some mistakes but is very rarely targeted. He does a pretty good job. Stephens is among the worst corners in the league statistically (bottom 10%). He's a total liability.
Marcus Williams is somehow worse than Stephens. Constantly lost. Can't tackle. He's significantly worse than Ardarius. I know they think of AD as a slot but I think he's gotta take Williams' role. Hes been a low effort, slow to react, undisciplined player for 10 weeks.
STs continues to be atrocious. I'll try and quantify it tomorrow but it's gotta be at bare minimum bottom third. I have a hunch Nick Moore needs to go.
It doesn't take a genius to see that this is an extremely powerful engine (both sides of the ball) but there's no lubrication. Nothing flows easy. Everything is dojoint and all over the place. That's coaching. From Harbs to the position coaches we are simply not doing good enough.
