The Lamar, the Defence, and the Injury

I get Burrow is playing well, but stats are inflated. 800+ of his yards and 9 touchdowns are against Baltimore. Over half of those yards are to Jamar Chase and 6 touchdowns with all the most broken secondary in the NFL.

Chris Simms saying the Bengals outplayed the Ravens and should've won the game a month ago is absurd. Ravens had more yards and more points. What did the Bengals do that made them "outplay" Baltimore. Both teams' defense are shit, but only one gets credit for being shit.

The rookie safety problems are that Kane and Brade are both downhill players more so than over the top guys. They just don’t fit the role that’s the biggest issue right now.

For what it’s worth, I’d give them a try at this stage, but I also understand why they don’t.

We did see them at the end of the blowout the other day.

I do think that if they progress it’s possible we see more of them especially if we continue to play dime (a bit like chuck Clark’s rookie year)

The next question would be which one gets a go first because it definitely won’t be both together

If not for 2 plays we might be saying the defense is turning it around... but I can't unsee that shit lol

I’m willing to give them that mulligan kind of - chase just owns this defence whether they’re good or bad

We’ll see what the Steelers do

I am very far from absolving Orr, but it's not going to matter who the DC is if all of these guys keep blowing coverages like they have been. No DC is going to succeed on that. My gut says if these dudes simply did what they're supposed to be doing out there, it's probably a middle of the pack defense which is fine with what we have going on offense.
I don't disagree on the players needing to be better, but the physical change can flip a switch, even if it is a placebo effect. Pees has had success before, so the buy in will be there. Just not sure the guys ever bought in with Orr.

I fully understand players aren't going to throw their coach under the bus, but every single press conference has been that they believe in and love Orr and it's on them to not fuck up. Strictly opinion here, but I think a switch at this stage just causes more strain.

I know this hoe ain’t complaining after slipping on a route

If you listen to Jamars presser, it tells you everything you need to know. His success simply comes from reading what our "safety" (Marcus Williams) is doing. No matter what MW does, Jamar has the answer.

The Lamar tip toe cracks me up. The Bengals called the perfect coverage and had a free rusher…. None of it mattered

Fucking Christ if we had last year’s defense with this year’s offense we’d absolutely win it all but I just don’t see us doing it this year unless Orr has a coming to god moment
