The Lamar, the Defence, and the Injury

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is the FIFTH full game the nfl uploads to YouTube of ours this year. They’ve uploaded the chiefs, bengals, commanders, and browns games so far. NFL finds our games very entertaining.
They should find us very entertaining - it’s exactly what they’ve been working toward for years. High point totals and an electric player with virtually no defense. NFL has wet panties for this shit.

Marcus Williams is extra frustrating because he'll start the game with 1 or 2 plays where he looks ultra explosive and you're like 'alright, that's the Marcus we know' and then it just gets so much worse from there.

I know I thought andrews was done, I was vocal about it earlier in the year, I may have been very wrong. He’s really gotten back to his old self since the first few weeks. Him and Lamar are showing their old chemistry but it’s not force feeding like it used to be. Really really good sign as he was always the guy who got our whole offense on schedule, which seems to be our biggest issue on offense, just getting on schedule early on.

Bateman is such a weird case, he really cannot catch a ball with someone on his vicinity but he is so goddamn good at getting open, he’s gotta have the biggest disparity between separation and catching ability in the league.

Henry was underused, it’s easy to get away from him when you’re starting drives 1st & 15/20 from penalties, but you gotta do it anyway, he can and will make a defense pay for sitting back, and those effects will be felt throughout the entire game. It’s crucial that we keep feeding Henry even if the analytics don’t always call for it. I think he could’ve got us moving earlier in the game when we were struggling, if we had just not been in 2nd and 10+ thanks to penalties, where we couldn’t even consider running, then I think we would’ve gotten moving earlier on.

Oweh needs to get some fucking sacks man.

Yea it was pissing me off seeing sherman and all those guys saying “ you gotta give henry the ball.. we didnt feed him enough” after game was over… like bro everything is situational.. yall want us to keep giving him the on those 2nd and long ass downs.. everything is situational and we wasnt in the situation to keep feeding him because of all the penalties… you would think they would understand that right?

Well those 2nd and longs were coming from penalties on followed by an incompletion on first down. I’m saying if we would’ve run the ball more on those first and longs then we wouldn’t have been in so many 2nd and longs.

The strip by Marlo was huge, been a while since we’ve seen one of those.
We dont win that game without that play

Positives

Lamar is the best player in football.

Lamar is shredding the concept we can't play from behind.

Our offense is becoming extreme Chiefs like where it doesn't matter what happens, they find some magic to beat you.

The defense showed in multiple plays they can be good. The talent is still there, they just need to get organized desperately. They gave up a ton of points but at least for the first time in awhile there was at least 10% of the game that looked good on their end.

This will not be a good defense, but I believe they can possibly get to like a 16-20 overall defense by years end if Kyle's injury isn't too bad.

Those rookie Safeties must be looking bad in practice if they keep rotating between WIlliams and Eddie back there.

You can't really plan for your good players playing terribly - Marcus and Roquan are big contract veterans who were expected to perform - but there's got to be a limit. He has to give Board, Welch, Brade and Kane a look if the starters are failing. That's why they have 53 players.

The rookie safety problems are that Kane and Brade are both downhill players more so than over the top guys. They just don’t fit the role that’s the biggest issue right now.

For what it’s worth, I’d give them a try at this stage, but I also understand why they don’t.

We need to move on from Orr post Eagles game. Give Pees the bye to make adjustments . Then find a permanent solution in the offseason.

I am very far from absolving Orr, but it's not going to matter who the DC is if all of these guys keep blowing coverages like they have been. No DC is going to succeed on that. My gut says if these dudes simply did what they're supposed to be doing out there, it's probably a middle of the pack defense which is fine with what we have going on offense.

Which is probably about where they were the middle of Mikey Mac’s first year.

Watching Marcus and Wiggins last night blatantly missing assignments was maddening. If they had played decently it would have completed what was otherwise a pretty damn good defensive performance.

Yep. Mikey Mac is probably better than Orr is right now in the same situation, but it’s still not good. It wouldn’t be good for anyone.

If not for 2 plays we might be saying the defense is turning it around... but I can't unsee that shit lol

They're not capable of turning it around. They are capable of not being league worst. Getting to mediocre is huge with the offense we have
