So what's the deal with these Vaccaro bids? Someone marked like 4 of them invalid (including mine), then bid 1 star. So I re-bid 1.5 stars and that was called invalid too. What's the ruling here?

all of those initial bids were invalid because of spelling
i then bid on it but had been beaten already by someone else who's bid was valid for a higher amount (and earlier)

the current highest vaccaro bid is lostintranslation with 5 stars - if you want to bid on the player you have to find that bid and quote it and and beat it

the re-bid was invalid because the bid you quoted was already invalid

you can't win more than 3 players that cost 0.5 stars. So don't bid on more than three until you have been outbid on one of them.

to clarify isnt that 3 at each position not 3 in each free agency period...

so technically someone could sign 3 Cbs, 3 FS and 3 SS in this particular window at 0.5 each

or have i misinterpreted the rule?

Last year. We changed it to 12 after a suggestion and it was that for every period then.

Just a little counterintuitive to the reason that rule was introduced in the first place since some of these bid-offs went on for days. Of course, some were clearing cap, but some were just up to the availability of the 2 in the bid off.

pretty sure cap isnt allowed to be cleared while in a bid off
partly i think its because we have quite an international base here that the bid-offs have a 12 hour window not a half hour one

Going to add the guy and basically withdraw from FA entirely due to the 0 stars left in my cap space lol

haha - yeah i mostly bid on him just to make sure i would have the opportunity to get someone who i wouldnt immediately get outbid for - i had no roster depth in the secondary
