fuck the ncaa - kids on academic scholarships with rich parents who happen to be alumni/investors in those universities (sometimes to get their rich kids those scholarships) are not penalised for that money given to them (or in this case loaned)

there is literally no precedent for the ncaa to hold this stance in the 21st century - in fact it's an outdated practice that belongs in the 19th century...

these players make the ncaa and their colleges millions of dollars every week on the field - their coaches get paid millions a year in salaries and the only recompense they get (and are allowed to get) is from their scholarship if they have one - a scholarship is not enough to live on - the fact that most of these players wont get through their college years without gifts from bag men is outrageous

It's all apart of the plan. Harbaugh is now done with voo doo and is pulling the NCAA Violations card in order to get players to drop to us.

On a serious note, I agree with everything you said. FUCK the NCAA.

they are literally punishing poor kids for not being rich enough to fund their potential sports career - not only do these kids not get paid, they also arent allowed to get any money either or self-promote or do anything
...while making gazillions to those same bastards and schools.

about a period in american history

It basically is a modern day of that time in U.S. history.

Lets slow down a moment. Now we are comparing college athletics to plantations? You mean getting the golden ticket to a degree thru taxpayer funded universities is now considered slavery to the machine? Even if you don't make it you're able to come back and finish your degree. There's a big reason boosters are not allowed to provide "loans". It creates an unfair advantage and its straight up bribery. Ever notice this only happens for star athletes. Pretty hypocritical if you ask me. Here's a few examples to help low income players and also examples of making money.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...get-paid-and-remain-eligible-for-their-sport/

Also this how scholarships are paid for. 87% of scholarships comes from taxpayers in case somebody doesn't believe me.

Now lets get to Chase Young and the basketball player. It shouldn't be a one way street where only the player gets punished. Everything should be analyzed on a case to case method. Looking at dollars and the whole situation in general. Come on if we're talking a 1000$ then a 1 game suspension should be enough and not wreck a young mans career or the team as a whole. That's ridiculous and Young needs to be back on the field. Bottomline is boosters and agents need to stay out of recruiting. I would relax some on agents when a college football/basketball player is in a year where he can become eligible for draft but absolutely not before.

Now my problem with the NCAA is wtf is wrong with marketing yourself or getting money for autographs and things of that nature. Its free marketing for the university.

Baylor just won to keep their undefeated record going...……...but barely.
