[profanity deleted] the ncaa - kids on academic scholarships with rich parents who happen to be alumni/investors in those universities (sometimes to get their rich kids those scholarships) are not penalised for that money given to them (or in this case loaned)
there is literally no precedent for the ncaa to hold this stance in the 21st century - in fact it's an outdated practice that belongs in the 19th century...
these players make the ncaa and their colleges millions of dollars every week on the field - their coaches get paid millions a year in salaries and the only recompense they get (and are allowed to get) is from their scholarship if they have one - a scholarship is not enough to live on - the fact that most of these players wont get through their college years without gifts from bag men is outrageous
