Have to think Marcus Williams gets cut, what are savings looking like with him?

Stanley seems like the big free agent, had a healthy year and played well, probably will have a healthy market. I do agree that safety and trenches seem like the areas to invest in. Maybe another corner as the 3rd guy
Put a fork in Marcus he done.

the fact that this team returns without basically any key players moving on and no major needs/holes outside of the ronnie stanley LT situation is wild... and EDC basically said as much in the presser - he's looking ahead to 2026 when thinking about potential extensions/contracts/difficult roster decisions - and said this offseason didnt project to be a complicated one as it pertains to our own guys

we have 11 picks (albeit it seems like a weak class) and a small amount of cap space to work with (not much but the ability to create more if we want)
I don't think it's a week class overall. Yes, at the top it may not be a great class, but overall this looks like a very good class in areas like ED, CB, TE, RB and plenty of day two picks to be made at other positions. I also believe one of those ED or CBs will be available at 27 where we pick due to the depth in this class.

Yeah we have impact guys all over defense except Edge. That’s really the one I’d say isn’t high impact. We absolutely need people to get some clutch gene. I kinda wonder if even the team thinks and relies on Lamar to pull wins out his ass. Watching them on defense makes me wonder sometimes. Defense played well too, but even they could be better.
yes, having an impact edge rusher would in fact increase our turnovers on defense. That is our biggest need.

Thing is....Roger Rosengarten really didn't NOT play any left tackle in college. He only had 3 snaps at LT and that was in 2023. In 2021 and 2022 he had no snaps at LT. He probably played LT in high school. That being said, I do believe he has the ability, due to his athleticism, to be a left tackle and that's why I liked him in college. I never expected Stanley to have the year he just had and was looking at OT than had the ability to play left tackle in the NFL.

i think maybe im misremembering but that he was originally going to be the LT and that's where he was training and practicing as a freshman (and even into 2021) then Penix got there so they moved him over to the blindside to RT and had no need to move him over to LT because of Fautanu

I hope we find a way to keep stanley.. dont like the RR at LT. I mean it could work but stanley as our LT sounds better. If RR at LT dont work, we would automatically have one of the worst olines in the nfl

agree, but also feel RR has the ability to play left tackle. EDC basically implied they have a $ amount in mind and I agree with that. You can't overpay him. Also feel like many teams would be willing to overpay him. I'm just hoping he would like to finish his career hear and gives us a home team discount, ie Jimmy Smith.

Maybe a home town discount, but nothing like Smith. Ronnie had a great year, and he's healthy, not a broke down player on his way to the couch.

I have no problem with RR at LT, he'll prolly end up there someday anyways. The problem is just finding another tackle as good as Stanley, they are so rare.

I agree with that, but lets not forget we made not get another healthy year like this one

Nothing Groundbreaking here but a few early offseason nuggets that I’ve gotten from my guy:

1. Team is optimistic Todd Monken returns
2. Also very optimistic that core FA specifically Stanley getting re signed
3. Brandon Stephens is almost certainly gone(we all knew that already)
That’s what I expected, including FA. They won’t negotiate through the media but we will see what happens. My guess is we will keep Stanley unless something surprising happens.

I generally doubt we will be in much on any FA unless they are cuts. Just don’t see the money. I could see a FA edge defender since we have struggled there in the draft. Outside of Edge or maybe some OL (unlikely) I think it’s just our own guys.

I’m guessing draft position we will certainly get a safety. I think we are guaranteed to get one mainly because Washington is only around this year unless he is extended. I’m not even sure you can bank on him being extended with his injury history. I don’t think we dip at all at safety in FA. I’d also say Edge and CB are likely but not sure CB will be early unless it’s clearly best player.

Still think WR is a sneaky need for us. Wondering what the plan is for Cunningham

the ones like him are taken early in the draft, like we were back in 2016

The Brandon Stephens answer sounded very much like a 'thank you for your service, we'll at least try to prop you up on your way out the door' thing.

My guess is they'll prioritize a vet or two in the early stages of FA and stay quiet for the most part. I don't even see any position where it makes sense to make a big splash this year, nor do I think they should go that route anyways. Time to take care of the internals. External additions feel like starter competition and depth.

Right, and I'm saying even beyond depth, we're not awesome at every position. Oline is obvious, but we literally could get a better WR if one was available. We could have better Dline play. We certainly can have better pass rushers.
And one that I think will happen that will get unnoticed... Ardarius Washington isn't the best Safety in the league. I think you're going to see several positions, especially in the draft, where we take players high that play positions where we were already "good" at.

Our draft position isn't as strong at the top, but this is very much one of those years where you end up with a Kyle Hamilton-type, meaning a guy that wasn't on our radar at a position we thought we were strong at, but turns out he's just so much better than the other guys. Corner might be that group. WR might be that group. Oline could easily be that group.

This team is good, but not great, at a LOT of spots. Great year to have a high # of draft picks (even if the draft class isn't spectacular).
I am very late to the party, so maybe someone said this later, but...

Ardarius Washington is good. He and Hamilton really solidified such a weak position group for the Ravens and helped hold the back end together.

The issue is- he's just not rangy. Hamilton had to play a two high shell so often or be the deep safety because Washington isn't that guy.

I think the Ravens would benefit from, and love to have, a rangy free safety that can patrol the back end and allow Hamilton to be that guy that does it all instead of limiting his usage and versatility.

Cooper Kupp. #SIIE (brother @JAAM )

I doubt we have the cap to sign him anyway.

I think if I have to pick a team to root for it's going to be the Bills. I've not liked them since they lost 3 straight SB's. I still can't stand Jim Kelly. Yet, I find myself liking the Bills Mafia guys for their support of Mark Andrews. What Social Media has been doing to him and his GF is appalling. Anyway... Another championship for either KC or Philly would be intolerable and I refuse to root for the Foreskins, so it looks like the Bills.

edit--- the only thing about the Bills is Lamar would be the last of the draft class to get a SB. But concessions must be made. lol
;)
My mistake. I thought Mahommes, Allen and Lamar were all in the same draft class. If Allen were to pull off a SB win, Lamar would still have to earn his... 3rd.
