2025 Offseason Thread

I don’t completely love the signing, BUT This secondary is next level loaded now. Assuming Malaki is nfl starting caliber by mid season, then this secondary is not only the leagues best, but the cb group is also the deepest. Jaire Alexander is cb3, and cb1 and 2 are likely to be substantially better than him, and cb4 is chidobe awuzie, that’s fkn insane. Not to mention we have Kyle HIMilton.

If this isn’t the best defense in the nfl by seasons end then something went incredibly wrong.
To me, it's 2 main things: 1) can this defense stay healthy for the most part and 2) can our pass-rush (particularly EDGE) actually step up?

Man we need some pass rushers. If mike green isnt a monster, its gonna be the same old story

You gotta think mike green is gonna be a factor, he’s a refined pass rusher who doesn’t lack in traits in the slightest. If he doesn’t play well it’s gotta be because he isn’t putting in the effort, because his tape looks like a can’t miss prospect

Hope our defense ends up being one of the best in a long time then orr gets a hc job, hawks go 0-17, they fire macdonald and we resign him as our dc

I agree for sure but man i thought ojabo was gonna be nice too

This is the most talented roster in Ravens history

Absolutely love this signing. From showing how well our player-to-player recruiting works, how much our FO listens to its mainstays, and from how much this potentially shores up our CB group. Availability could still be a concern, but Alexander has played both sides, surprisingly even more RCB than LCB the last several years, and he's been terrific when on the field. Also, the guy's a dog. Gives us the attitude boost we had with Marcus Peters.

They were engaged on Jalen Ramsey the whole time but didn't want to trade a pick and give him the money he wanted. Jaire is a stark discount from what they were willing to do for Ramsey, and that still wasn't the offer Ramsey wanted.

I've never been keen on Ramsey on a personal level, but he'd have certainly been a good get. Glad to have Alexander though, and probably even prefer him without the needed compensation. Thanks for providing these insider updates! It's not an overstatement to say that they're invaluable.
