2025 Offseason Thread

You might as well just give JAD the S reps and build some depth there while having him as an emergency CB option

Marlo - Nate - Jaire - Chido - Tampa - Kone
Kyle - Starks - Brade - Kane - JAD

Let's eat

in this scenario, longerbeam on the outside looking in...

From what I was told in the last few days, they're monitoring the market at 3 more positions based on where the roster stands now, but their plan is for the young guys to fill the roles. If they fail to capitalize into TC, they'd consider making a move.

S - they really like the improvements Kane has made and believe in Brade too

ILB - Roquan and Trenton have been joined at the hip and they're expecting him to take that job

OL - they want youth to step up but they're not going to pass up a good vet if one were to become available

surprised about OL after the Noteboom signing tbh

but the other two make all the sense in the world, especially LB, we're thin there in depth

It felt like he was always gonna be kinda bubbly to be honest. I’ve heard that the UDFAs have outplayed him thus far too. Still time to correct it but he’s gotta be on the outside looking in.

I don’t know for sure, but it could be C where they’re open. They have a bevy of options (Samac, Dellinger, Bullock, and Dalcourt). 2 are fairly uninspiring and 2 are just now getting snaps for the first time this year.

the downside is the availability, not the performance when available

also is only going to be asked to be CB3 here, and we have good/great CB4 options in Awuzie, Tampa and Armour-Davis

Yep, yep. My point exactly. Hoping on the first of the latter bunch to be the key reserves.

At this point I have to assume Ben Cleveland has done something truly horrible to the coaches the way they view his existence as something they really want to replace asap.

Brutal to hear. One of my favorite names in the class, but I personally had him as a deep UDFA prospect tape wise.

Feels like he’s probably a safe bet for the PS if he doesn’t make the 53 though. But like you said, just kind of uninspiring as a player.

Kinda crazy that we are really looking at our first 2 draft picks this year as the big question marks for the defense. If those 2 guys can play serviceable ball, this defense is stacked. Only other question at all is Trenton.

Idk how to say it but Jaire may be us getting back to vibes. We need to be serious and locked in but we also gotta get back to being free flowing and not in our own heads scared to death. Mark Ingram vibes

They will be impact players. Need more from Green though if you ask me.

He has been fantastic when healthy and that is the massive question on him. If he played all season next year I would not be surprised if he made a pro bowl but that is a gigantic if because players tend to not get healthier as they age.
he's only 28
