2025 Offseason Thread

Jaire should help with this. Same with Starks. Also a plus if Green’s the real deal and can get to the QB in a hurry

God I miss Marcus Peters
I'm really hopeful that Green will be the difference maker this team needs. Our pass rush has been very underwhelming for a while now and I'm hopeful that he will wreck havoc come playoffs

We really need jmad to step up too! Getting paid very well for someone who isnt being as disruptive.

True but that is also the only turnover our defense has forced in the last 6 playoff games and that isn't acceptable. To put it in perspective the 2024 Eagles defense and special teams caused 13 turnovers in 4 playoff games. If we are going to win the super bowl our defense has to do better at forcing turnovers
We do need to improve there but I think more often than not TOs are mistakes made by the posessing team. And for me, more importantly we need to not turn it over ourselves. In the last few years we've really done well in the regular season taking care of the ball, but in the playoffs, not so much.

Maybe you're right, for the moment, but I think the AFC has more potential. Stroud and Maye could both challenge Herbert for AFC QB 5 if the situation around them improves and I'm not entirely writing off Lawrence's chances of ever improving because there have been flashes.

I dont get how Herbert dont get flamed for his 2 playoff appearances like Lamar does. Buddy blew a 27-point lead against the Jaguars, then followed that up by throwing 4 INTs against the Texans. Yet he's still viewed as a Top-5 QB by a lot of media analyst. How Sway?

He is your legendary golden boy prototypical qb! They are ride with him till the end

That is the crap that pisses me off. Sport is one medium that should transcend bias, but it hasn't in all instances. There were only two instances where credit invariably went where it needed to, but then there wasn't anybody in the vicinity of their greatness for an extened period. The media had little choice but to annoint MJ, and Muhammed Ali as the greatest. They transcended all barriers. Lamar will get there in my opinion. He nees to win a couple of SBs in succession and then, the ass licking will begin in earnest. I can almost see Stephen A salivating...

Stupid Texans and Browns ruining the 2nd round for everyone else. Hopefully this news starts the dominoes falling to end this

first domino... chargers are the first to have their rookies report. Tre Harris holding out.

This is gonna get messy. No agent wanna be labeled as the first to cave and not get their player the fully guaranteed contract. Its bad for business. So now they're forced to fight this fight. Compound this with the whole NFLPA debacle... it wouldn't surprise me if the vets are telling those rookies to stand their ground and fight for the fully guaranteed contracts. Not related, but you hear Shemar Stewart come out and said that the players in the Bengals locker room is telling him to fight his contract battle against them cheap Bengal owners.

Or next it could be mike green

Hopefully EDC can come at him with the "We took a chance on you bro... Don't do this to us!" card.
