@Simba heard anything about that extension?

Not a thing. That shit is as locked down as it gets. Anyone that says otherwise is blowing smoke.

Not true. I bought the total gym and spoke to Lamar personally when I went to go pick it up.

He told me “Yes.”

May be the only way you'll ever know because I was told that the only people that know about Lamar negotiations are Lamar and his camp, EDC, and Nick Matteo. I've heard even Ozzie isn't clued in on those negotiations. I don't know how much I buy that one, but it's Fort Knox up in that bitch when they talk Lamar contract.

I have learned that Rickeyscoops guy may actually be in the know. It's my understanding that he works either with or close to the NFL on contract stuff and that's where his info comes from, and shit it all checks out. I don't mean to rile people up but he's saying there's progress so...

I cant believe I forgot Simspon. Glad you saw some good from Faalele. Vorhees really seems like a problem. Loop won't miss every kick

i really think that faalele became a complete non-issue last year
i know cole jackson was never keen on him - but what he offers you in pass pro is just hard to give up even for the potential losses in mobility in the run game

and i do expect him to continue to get better in year 2 at the position

vorhees i've never been convinced by - i just think his ceiling is so average, he's got good play-strength but doesn't create movement and falls off blocks/doesn't always maintain leverage - just no stand out traits to hang your hat on:
- marginal athlete - not a weapon in space
- short arms
- good play-strength but no explosive power
- decent interior processing

i just think that he may look fine against no names and randoms but better athletes and players could take advantage of some soft edges and lack of margin for error because of his traits (why i've got so much more time for faalele because his length and power create huge margins for error)

to me vorhees has the profile of a guy who looks like a career backup - a guy who you'd happily sub in for injuries but not someone you want as a consistent starter - i had a day 3 grade on vorhees even before he had that injury at the combine, he's done nothing so far to prove to me that i was wrong to grade him how i did

would be very happy to be proven wrong especially because it doesnt seem like there's a competition here at all

He's often referred to as "one that got away" internally. They were in a roster crunch and didn't want to cut him, but felt they had to. I can't remember who exactly the other alternative was, but they greatly wish they had chose that guy instead.

was it not greg senat or someone like that?

was reading some stuff about him - apparently he knows a bunch of agents

I'll do like 12 more of these and they'll always change, but if I had to put a stamp on it heading into preseason...

QB (2): Jackson, Rush
RB (3): Henry, Hill, Mitchell (just missed: Ali)
WR (6): Flowers, Bateman, Hopkins, Walker, Wallace, Wester (just missed: Miller)
TE (4): Andrews, Likely, Kolar, Ricard
OL (9): Stanley, Vorhees, Linderbaum, Faalele, Rosengarten, Noteboom, Vinson, Cleveland, Samac (just missed: Jones - NFI, Bullock, Dalcourt, Dellinger)
DL (5): Madubuike, Jones, Washington, Jenkins, Peebles (just missed: Urban - PS/back to 53 in few weeks)
OLB (6): Van Noy, Oweh, Green, Robinson, Isaac, Ojabo
ILB (4): Smith, Simpson, Buchanan, Hummel
CB (7): Humphrey, Wiggins, Alexander, Awuzie, Tampa, Armour-Davis, Kone (just missed: Longerbeam)
S (4): Hamilton, Starks, Kane, Brade (just missed: Lowery)
ST (3): Loop, Stout, Moore

OL is obviously the biggest question mark right now. If Jones gets healthy, you need to find a spot.

pretty much identical for me

Isaac vs OL10 is my biggest decision right now personally (assuming emery jones is on NFI to start the year)
but i also wonder if maybe they think bullock, dalcourt and dellinger are all close enough (and have cross-trained enough at both C and G) that they're not worried about losing 1 (or even 2) of them and therefore feel comfortable cutting them

for me it's Bullock vs Isaac vs Ali

preseason special teams coverage units will tell us a bunch too tbh

I still don't think Isaac is in any danger. Would be a major upset if they moved off a 3rd round pick after only 1 year, and I do know they like him. He was just hurt last year.

just seems hard to justify keeping 6 guys at that position
and it seems like ojabo is 4th on the depth chart right now

but i do agree with you, hard to cut any of those guys

Rare case where a trade might be on the table for whoever becomes OLB6. Get some value where you can instead of letting one rot on the bench.
