There were a load of players around them when that happened. If Yanda spit on him you think someone would've seen it and punches would've been thrown.

You know what I never considered until now? Or perhaps forgot about? I think that may be one area John screwed up—he shouldn’t have tried to duplicate Kubiak’s system without him. None of those guys are Gary and they will never be him. This is the square peg in a round hole issue that’s probably been a plague here for us. We seem to dictate terms to our OC and wonder why they don’t produce. We should hire guys who do what we want rather than make them do what we want. Unlike most I’m not calling for John’s head and want the season to play out first and I’m curious if it’s John or Joe or both; however, that falls squarely on him because he has seemed to try to replicate that success to no avail until they had to abandon it.

I understand where you coming from but can you really fault John Harbaugh for wanting to keep a offensive system that worked really well after how bad the offense was before the 2014 season. Joe Flacco had a great year in Gary Kubiak offense and the run game did too as well. I dont think John Harbaugh was expecting Gary Kubiak to leave after one season with The Ravens especially with his health concerns but im not really sure what he could have done better as well. Keeping former Ravens quarterback coach Rick Dennison may have helped but he didnt even last a year with The Bills as their offensive coordinator last year. I dont even think Marc Trestman wasnt intelligent enough to handle Gary Kubiak offensive system but what really did him in was him trying to just do it his way.

No I can't one bit. I understand why he did it and I get that--Hell, we all wanted that. I think the argument is definitely a hindsight argument; however, it's still a valid criticism of him and what he did. I'm not saying I called it or anyone else called it that we shouldn't try to duplicate the Kubiak system without him--I'm just saying that was one mistake I think John made that caused some issues. That's all.

Chiefs and Rams SuperBowl is for 2nd place - Saints already got the lombardi sent back to the superdome
Let’s not crown them just yet...they’ve played great in the past few weeks but we did hold them to 24 points just a few weeks ago. They’re not unstoppable. You never know with the nfl

Another thing that seems to be glossed over is this. Let's just say Lamar isn't the QB of the future... You know what? WE CAN MOVE ON. Not only that, but what will happen is if he isn't the rest of the team should be built to a point where we should be able to insert a competent starter and contend immediately. If the FO goes about this properly, we'll have the resources and draft stock to put a perennial play off contender on the field. The OL should hopefully be solid in a year or 2. The offense has 2 potential playmakers at TE and would be wise to try and keep Snead, depending on asking price. The OL has 2 bookend tackles and who knows how the rookie develops at C or G. The defense actually has young pieces to build around. Not sure about the Pierce situation, but I'd consider keeping him and dumping Williams. Kenny looks promising as does Timmy. Jury still out on Bowser. I'd let Judon and Smith go. Still have faith in Marlon and Tavon and I'd rework the back end. Combine that with actual cap space to maneuver and even if we suck the next year or two, we should be a pretty damn good team shortly. I can't remember the last time we've been in this type of situation. I want to say I'll trust DeCoast to get the job done.

The Bears could potentially knock off either the Rams or Saints in the playoffs with the way Mack is playing (absolute game-wrecker).

I hate the way the game was played (much prefer defense) but if the nfl wants to grow we’re just going to end up with basketball scorers
I do as well, which is why I don’t think KC makes it to the super bowl. The lack of defense.

Yes the rams scored a lot and won the game but I feel it would have been a better game plan to include Gurley into the game plan a bit more, use the clock and keep Mahomes off the field.

Plus his aggressiveness at the end of the game reminded me of Shanahan and the Falcons in the SB. Could have lost the game for them.

I have the pats and saints in the super bowl so I agree on both parts. I saw the chiefs with the ball with 8 minutes left and I started doing the scoring math, and had no doubt kc would lose

I wonder when coordinators will finally start using math more at the end. I understand you score when you can but during those times everyone is looking for the big play as a “game winner” in today’s nfl if you score and are up by less then 2 right around 2 minutes left, your almost guarnteeded to lose the game. Run the ball nore. Kc was in a hurry on there drives with 8 and 6 left.. if I had 6 minutes left and a full field I’m doing everything I can to stay in bounds and take time off. Preferable score with under a minute

It’s one thing to stop a team from a td I get that but how many times does a team that only needs a fg to win fail to drive the field?

I mean we are surely the choking masters but the last 3 football games I watched were the rams driving under the 2 minute, the raiders going to win the game in under 2 with no timeouts, and the broncos doing basically the same. teams just can’t stop the 2 minute offense
