Lamar Jackson

I just hope it does not cause any issues with the players, who may want one or the other.
I'm not too worried about that. They are pros. I think they'd understand either decision. They have been to many battles with Joe and I think he has their support. They are excited about the potential and excitement that Jackson brings, so they're ready to go to battle with him if that's what is called for.

not sure joe comes back and wins more games than lamar tbh - he's a better pocket passer but lamar opens up the running game so much it makes the whole offence more effective - if im honest it looks like a wash at this point - there's no guarantee that joe's the better play in terms of winning games especially coming off an injury
This.

The transformation of our run game is stunning. We were running like garbage when Flacco was behind center. This almost all to do with Lamar and not just Gus and how the oline is blocking. That is evidenced by the only decent run plays we had prior to Lamar starting was when Lamar was under center.

We all know how effective Flacco is when we don't have a run game and when he's in - we don't have a run game.

And I'm not sure that trade off is a wash. The ability to control the clock on the ground keeps the high-flying offenses off the field and gives our defense a chance. Personally, I'm in favor of seeing what Lamar can bring. The torch will be passed this offseason - I have no doubt about that. So if our chances of advancing now are about equal, let's see what he can do.

The Ravens philosophy of winning is ground and pound. Were too predictable with Flacco at QB and our run game faulters because of it. Sure Lamar isnt totally ready but with our defense and special teams we can make it work. Pound the rock, win TOP, sustain lo g drives keeping our defense fresh and we can win games.
Like you said, its hard to tell if we have a better chance of winning with either QB (mainly because Lamar is going to make mistakes every game) but its just the style of play that i feel compliments our team so much better.

I think it keeps our defense fresher and wears down opponents defense more with this smash mouth ground and pound.

Oh, so with Joe, we stay 8-8 but with Lamar we tank to 6-10?
Give me a break.
Don’t put fucking words in my mouth. There’s always a chance. You claim to be “realistic”. This is as realistic as it gets. I have it a loss. Wait and fucking see. Nothing either of us can do.. I do think if by some measures miracle If we can make the postseason I think Flacco gives us a better chance to win.

There isn’t any guarantee in the nfl other than Godell not having a pair. But we all know what Harbaugh is going to do. We have been dealt a hand. Let’s see what happens.

Lamar's pass to Andrews was sweet!

I'm not putting any words in your mouth, you said if we give Lamar the job, we are tanking. Go read your own comment, I highlighted those words to help you.

Also, based on what we've seen so far this season, Flacco doesn't give us better chance of winning. With him, we are too one-dimensional and easy to defend against.

Whatever dude. Sue the man for giving his opinion. We must all think linearly because I’m clearly such a retard right?

Yeah too bad Andrews's deceptive speed didn't lead to a TD. I expect him to be the first one in the film room and last one out tomorrow to analyze why he couldn't run faster.

One main reason why it didn't lead to a TD is because he was too busy looking backward at the defender while running forward. That kills your hustle no matter how fast or slow you may run.

As you guys may have noticed, I was concerned after seeing Lamar last week. After watching his game today I'm no longer concerned about him, but I'm shocked that Marty has a job. Lamar looked like a dynamic athlete in the run game when he chose to run and looked like a passer capable of making every throw, but still has some slight accuracy issues and a tendency to force some passes. So all in all he looked like a rookie quarterback with huge upside, which is well, exactly what he is lol. I'm confident his decision making will improve tremendously. I'm not sure if he will ever get to the point where he doesn't have one to two balls he wishes he had back in terms of accuracy. I hope he proves me wrong on that front. Lastly for as much as everyone says Marty is integral to Lamar development, I think he's hindering it. Seems like he told him not to run today to prove a point. Lamar needs to play organically and not listen to that scrub MM.

These Matt waldman breakdowns are the kind of thing that every football fan needs to see and understand before they pass on their parroted cliches about him.

He is not a one read and run qb
He is not a run first qb
He is not a wr
He is a legitimate qb who is incredibly refined in some aspects and more mentally adept than I’d say half the starters in the league as just a rookie.
