Well if Marty wasn’t passing in OT when we were on the Chiefs side of the field. Damn
I agree, but when you think about this, it’s kind of sad that we are pissed off that our OC decided to throw the ball of all things lol

That's the funniest fucking comment I read all season. Tells you everything we need to know about the state of the Ravens.

Lamar needs to work on his accuracy. It’s awful at this point. He’s mostly throwing behind receivers or too high. I’m not entirely sure if it’s fixable. If not all we can do is surround him with WRs that can get tons of separation so inaccurate throws are still catchable

Again the defense couldn’t stop the offense from scoring and another week of Hayden Hurst being MIA. Just wondering about the impact Derwin James could’ve made for this defense

it generally isn't fixable. You either have it or you don't..might improve slightly but it'll never be what we'd want it to be

Remember he didn't have an offseason or anything to work with his receiving corps. He nearly never passed to Crab or Brown before Joe got injured. Timing with receivers matter. The rest is mechanics. So yes, it's definitely fixable.

I assume we're talking about the 47 yarder or whatever to Hill on 4th and 9? Not at all Jimmy and I don't understand how you came to that conclusion.

My guess is a Tampa 2. Two deep safety shell, Mosley that far downfield, Jimmy forcing an inside release while staying underneath. I'm 99% certain that was Tampa 2 and that makes it 100% on CJ Mosley.

@allblackraven @rossihunter2 since I saw you two "agree" as well.
Ah Jimmy was chasing Hill’s tail, so why is that ? So we had no one specifically on Hill on the most important play of the game? DUMB!

My apologies @Grim .... you called it
It’s all good but man we didn’t pull it off and that hurts and sucks. I really feel we could and should have won this game. Probably the worst loss we had this year. The Saints I felt we would win but this game was just different but regardless both were heart breakers. I just felt we definitely could’ve won this. At least PIT lost and I called that one too. I really feel we can win this division still though. We must beat LAC now and get over this loss.

That's why I said trade guys, trade picks. Do whatever it has to take to make it happen. Drafting a QB in the first round is a rarity here and we cant blow it by just giving him cast offs to start his career. That's just effed up to him and the fans. Get the kid a guy he can grow with. Chris Moore is another guy that hasn't been given a fair shot. They just keep bringing cast offs in here and limiting his snaps. Moore would have already made a name for himself on another team. Next year I would like to see Moore, Lasley, Montgomery and Brown play 50+ snaps a game. The rest should be cut or traded. Snead is ok too but it's a shame that I feel that way due to not seeing enough out of him. He does however make the best out of his limited playing time. Snead or Moore is how I look at it leaning more towards Moore cause we drafted him.

I’m not that sold on lasley. Not until he fixes his hands and drop issues.
I do agree that Harry is the best type of WR for Lamar right now. Big bodied, big catch radius guy that can make up for lamar’s Inaccuracy right now

I am with you brother. No excuses we need to win the next three. Yes, even the Chargers game! No more of this BS....Just wins from here out!

If there's no one underneath, there's no need to stay underneath anymore. Make yourself useful and look for work by dropping into a deeper zone. It opens up for the quarterback to run, I guess, but you'd hope the front four could contain.

But yes, I am in agreement that I would have rather gone man to man and just played Hill straight up on 4th and 9 instead of hoping Mosley could keep up down the seam.

idk - zrebiec seemed to suggest humphrey came out at the end of the game - maybe part of his lingering injury - i dont remember him being on the field for that snap but i may be wrong - that might have had something to do with the call

and lets remember that the play doesnt happen without mahomes escaping right and making an incredible throw across his body to hill in stride - that ball placement isnt perfect and we win the game, 1 second later on his escape and ZDS sacks him and we win the game
I didn't see Humphrey, either, but from what I was able to watch (big snow storm here and DirectTV having issues limited what I was able to see) was that Humphrey went against Kelce a lot in the second half. Is that accurate? So, with that in mind, there's still the option of simply put Tavon or Jimmy straight up on Hill. I like those odds a lot better than I like Mosley covering him down the seam.

But yes, Mahomes made some absolutely incredible throws and his ability to throw from awkward angles on the run was incredible and on full display Sunday.

So we had Humphrey on Kelce most of the second half and generally he shut him down.

Yet on the 4th and 9 play we had some type of Tampa zone defense going allowing Hill to locate an open area on the Mahome's scramble?

What type of idiocy is this?

  • Just once, it would be nice to actually close out a lead against a good team. Maybe this will happen whenever we get new coaches.
  • Piss-poor tackling by the defense all game. They've been great most of the season, but yesterday they apparently forgot how to fucking wrap up. The worst offender of this was probably Weddle which brings me to my next point...
  • I don't want Weddle on this team next year. He's looked old and slow all season and yesterday was the worst of it. He's always taken bad angles when trying to tackle, but at least he used to be good for 3-4 INTs a year. Now? He can't even intercept floaters that are in his area. Dude needs to retire.
  • The refs were fucking atrocious. I don't like to be "that guy" who complains about officiating, but we got screwed over big time. They don't call DPI on the Moore play in the endzone (the defender was draped all over him before the ball even got there), the Crabtree OPI which was barely anything (I saw Hill make the same push-off later in the game on Smith and it wasn't called, naturally), the weak-ass roughing penalty on Judon, and then the myriad of holding penalties we got which killed drives (some were legit, but some were definitely questionable).
  • What was the point of drafting Hurst again? The only time I ever see him is when he's being put in motion and then ends up blocking. Fucking brilliant.

You got all that in 4 games?

The Crab OPI is ultimately what killed us, that was a weak call. That was a good throw to the sideline and catch.

If I recall, Marlon might have been out towards the end of the game.

Marlon in the man and one of the best draft picks we've made.

I was happy my Pack won but at the same time I was super bummed you guys lost. KC was super lucky to win that game. The good news is Pittsburgh lost in Oakland still keeping you guys a half a game out of the division. Now I have to hope NE beats Pittsburgh and you guys beat the Bucs and the Ravens are in 1st place! My Pack is probably done as they have @Bears next week. I hope for an upset but I don't see it. Carolina, Philly and Washington lost tester too keep us alive in the WC race.
