Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Wasn't Jimmy diagnosed with the same issue? I wonder when Jimmy'll be back? Anyone?

It’s been 4 weeks and I’m surprised there has not been any updates on his condition, or at least I haven’t heard any. It depends on the severity of the Sprain as to how long the recovery time is. Normally 2-4 weeks is normal for a grade 2 sprain and 4-8 weeks is normal for a grade 3 MCL sprain. I’m not sure how his injury was graded.

I think Jimmy's was probably a bad grade 2 sprain. I wouldn't be surprised if they just hold him out until after the Bye week even if he's getting close to coming back.

at the time it was suggested 4-6 weeks for his grade 2 MCL - we're moving into week 5 of his injury this week

I'm hoping he's ready for Seattle. We need him there.

I heard about this last week. lmao if Snyder thinks he can pry Tomlin away from Pittsburgh. Tomlin wouldn't fix the Skins. No one can fix the skins with the current ownership.

I agree that he won’t fix things, but Snyder seems to be hell-bent on hiring Tomlin. The article mentions giving him full control and a top shelf contract. I wouldn’t think Tomlin is dumb enough to even consider it, but money and power cause people to strange things. Lol

STEPHON TUITTDL, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "the fear" is that Steelers DE Stephon Tuitt has a torn pec.
Tuitt is going to get an MRI to confirm the injury and plot out the next course of action. His absence would be brutal news to the interior of the Steelers defense. Overall, Tuitt has earned PFF's No. 6 highest grade among 126 qualified interior defenders this season.

Another blow to Pittsburgh.

he's the kind of player we need badly on our D

a torn pec wouldnt knock him out for the whole season, would it? i mean if its a bad tear we're talking 8-10 weeks?

That's a huge blow, Tuit was having great season, hands down best defender on pretty solid front.

AQIB TALIB DB, LOS ANGELES RAMS

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Aqib Talib (ribs) is expected to be placed on the injured reserve list.
Talib could return later this season after spending at least eight weeks on the injured reserve. The 33 year old hasn't played 16 games in any season since entering the league in 2008. Talib was just PFF's No. 99 highest-graded CB through six weeks among 117 qualified corners.

This should be a huge help when it comes to us facing the Rams in November. He's basically out until the almost the end of the season and is guaranteed to miss the MNF game against us.

Essentially he COULD be back for Week 17 against us but if Pittsburgh is out of playoff contention, I don't see them risking playing him in a meaningless game and just making sure he is fully healthy by week one 2020.
