Ok, but what does this mean? Did the drops prevent Henry for going for almost 200 yards? Did the drops prevent the pressure and sacks on Lamar? Drops are part of the game. A costly fumble or just dumb mistake I get, but my point is the Titans outplayed you, and they did. I dont understand how bring up drops supposedly defeats my point. You win games my making plays, and one team made more plays tonight.
The point is that one team did not make the very minimum of plays ie catching uncontested balls and thereby had incredible amounts of self-inflicted wounds. Titans won the game in the trenches, but they scored 28 points off turnovers while getting 230 yards. That's a pretty strong indicator that maybe self-inflicted wounds were a factor

How is that not a play? Byard is probably the best safety in the league. Good players tend to make good plays, even if it is a lucky bounce or whatever.
I mean... that was pretty lucky, or unlucky depending on your perspective. Andrews is gimping out there and misses a catch, fine, but it popping straight into your hands like that? Good job catching it I guess, but that seems like a pretty good case of self-inflicted injury and luck

ive not been arguing that the titans werent the better team tonight - they clearly were
im quibbling with the idea that the ravens didnt beat themselves which is why things like drops are relevant to that discussion

That is contractory though. If one team is better they typically win. You can't say a team was better, but the other team beat themselves.

Byard needs more respect put on his name, man is a beast

He was a complete steal. He played at Middle Tennessee, about a 30 minute drive from Nashville, so an under the radar guy from the are they had their eye on. If they didnt draft him I am not sure he wouldnt have been a 6th or 7th round type pick.

The national media needs to wake up, he is so freaking good

They aren't mutually exclusive things

They are though. THe Ravens had a better regular season for sure, but I dont see how anyone could have watched that game tonight and thought the Ravens were the better team tonight. I thought they got outplayed in basically all aspects of the game.

Agree 100%. Also agree that the Ravens gave the Titans a hand in beating them with their self-inflicted wounds, which happens all the time in the NFL. It's disappointing as a Ravens fan obviously, but it is also a massive disappointment as a football fan, because we got robbed of the game this could have been: two legit scary teams playing at their best and duking it out.

Lets be realistic. Any given Sunday. The Ravens by far are the superior team but they laid an egg tonight. You won't make it past KC, so enjoy your win and maybe we'll see you next year. ;)

Or maybe you will. Again, any given Sunday. Also, Derrick Henry is a massive matchup problem for the Chiefs. I don't even see the Chiefs as the favorite, assuming they get there anyways

One, that is what football is, any given Sunday. Two, we dont know that.

We have beat KC the last two times including this year,. Will they beat us? Certainly more than possible. But honestly, I was more worried about you guys than I am them. I think the Titans matchup with both the remaining AFC teams.

Dude, come on, Henry ran all over you guys, who are a much better defense than the Chiefs. And BTW, Houston beat KC this year, so it could easily be Tenn-Houston.

Henry played a hell of a game. But there is no way I'd say he dominated us. It wasn't that. It was all the turnovers and rust. Enjoy the win. But keep in mind you were the better team today. But the inferior team overall. You guys are one dimensional on offense. Andy Reid will show you that.

Inferior team based on what? At least after Mariota was replaced. We didnt play in the regular season so no head to head basis. The only team from your division we played was the Browns, who we blew out (with Marcus) you split with. We both played the Pats (us in the post season, you in regular) and both won. We both played KC, we won, you lost. YOu beat Houston we split with them. We lost to Buffalo you beat them. So, based on the head to head opponents, it was even. You look at record, then yes, you were better in the regular season. Break down common opponents, and we were both 4-2 against common opponents. If you put this head to head in the common opponents things, the Titans were 5-2, you guys 4-3. The inferior team narative was never realistic. THis was always a game IMO that could have gone either way, but tonight went the Titans way.

Henry ran for 195 yards, in what world is that not dominating? And yeah, we have been one dimensional against arguably the best 2 defenses in the league and our RB has rushed for more yards in consecutive games than any back in NFL history, I am good with that. I am trying to think of a team who won the superbowl with a one dimensional offense, the names of Trent Dilfer and Jamal Lewis sound familiar but cant quite place it. Help me out? (and no, I am not saying these are the same teams, our QB is better than Dilfer, your defense was better, and, not guaranteeing any victories, might get beat next week, but does sort of have the same feel)

settle down Beavis. KC will own your 1-D offense.

Sigh...it's really a crapshoot in the playoffs.

I wish this were the NBA with at LEAST a best of 3
