Elliott is better than both Carr and Jefferson

important to note that he got the first crack at the role carr played for the rest of the year before he got injured and i/red - i went back before the playoffs to watch some of those earlier games in the year and elliott was awesome in that 1 game - i really liked the combo of in the dime dropping chuck clark into the box and having elliott come on the field with his range etc. i really hope he gets a solid offseason and earns that role back - but i can understand if the team doesnt trust him given he's been i/red both years

Did he get injured on D or ST?

I lamarvel at how quickly you guys have moved on. I wish I had your strength. I need another week to fully move on. Sleepless nights galore. Why I fret so much over spilt milk I wonder? In any case it's therapeutic to come around every once in a while and seeing all the wish lists and potential signings you guys are working on! Lamarvelous! Crap I can't even say 'marvelous' anymore!

when I was younger I would absolutely hold onto a loss. Now I have the ability to not view this season as an entire loss. I look at the positives of this entire season and can see this team as being one of the greatest teams I've ever rooted for even though we didn't win a Super Bowl. I also see the positives of the future and how young our core really is. Am I disappointed, hell yes I am and I feel we lost on opportunity, but I'm certainly not going to throw this season away for all the great memories that came out of it.

Go Ravens!

ive not really got over it but im mostly just throwing myself into other aspects - namely the draft - in a hardcore way to kind of take my mind off of how devastating that loss was... ive already got partial grades on 56 players in the 2020 draft class

it also helps that i kind of started the grieving process of that game once lamar fumbled so i had a whole quarter and a half for my mind to start processing what was happening

but yeah im not over this - its probably the worst loss (for me personally) of my ravens fandom life

What the hell happend to Elliot? ACL?
He’s got a knee, he’s day to day.

Replying to other posts about Jefferson, he can’t stay, if you rewatch our early games and follow only him, you will see that he was without question the worst player on the ravens entire roster. Yes, he was that bad, the number of times he shot like a fucking missile to a completely irrelevant part of the field was staggering, he was absolutely horrible. That kind of play can’t be allowed.

Ugh I've had to unsubscribe from all football videos on youtube and reccomended videos....it sucks so bad

I'm just getting myself lost in anime and my switch at this point...

Good thing I dont have many friends that watch sports lol. I'm so damn depressed....it hurts to even come on this board

Maybe seeing our players in the pro bowl having a good time will lighten up the mood...

not sure - looked like it happened on D if ive found the correct play - looks like he's coming over to help out bethel in coverage on a 3rd and really long play and bethel's body rolls up on elliot as he goes to the ground with the receiver - it looks innocuous in real time because we didnt really get many replays because he didnt stay down at the time but you can see him clutch his left knee and then hobble up - and im pretty sure he didnt appear again after that

EDIT: just watched the coaches film - frustratingly the play before was blown dead for a false start on 3rd and 19 and he's up at the LoS and probably safe lol, bengals false start and the defensive call gets changed for 3rd and 24 and he plays deep centre field and uses his range to get to the play to help bethel break the ball up - there's 2 reasons this is infuriating - he only gets in position to be injured because he's got the range to get to the play in the first place - the second is even more frustrating - its a play that should have ended the drive but pernell mcphee on the same play gets done for Roughing the passer and the bengals get a new set of downs and 15 yards so the play doesnt even count...

I would rather draft an ILB high and sign a pass rusher. I don't see any point in paying Martinez or Schobert big money contract when we let CJ walk who is arguably better then both of them. You have a much easier time finding a splash at ILB via the draft then you do for a pass rusher. I would rather pay up for a pass rusher.

100%.
I want us to sign Ngakoue no matter the price.

Y’all this is just the start. Stay positive. Look at how many of the greats took 5-6 playoff games to even get their first win. Also I don’t think this roster is nearly as talented as people made it out to be. Make a few moves to shore up some key positions, get another legit receiver and this team can be just as good, if not better, next season.

I would love to have him and keep Judon but that doesn't seem feasible to me. I've turned sour on Judon honestly and right now I would go with Ngakoue. We still would have to beef up the interior of the DL regardless as well as more additions at the edge. I can easily see us picking pass rusher back to back in the draft or a pass rusher then a 3 tech or vice versa.

I would love to also bring Calais Campbell too. I don't care about how old he is, he's still a beast.

Would it be feasible to

Sign Judon to an Extension
Sign Chris Jones
Sign Joe Schobert

Draft: tyler biadasz ( i think he's elite from day 1 TBH)

Release Carr
Release jimmy
Let Pierce walk

If Yanda retires that saves us 7 million ( which i think would make my plan feasible)
I don’t think Chris Jones leaves, so no. Not sure I want to sign Judon at the moment either. He’s a tough call.
My offseason signing wishlist includes:

Robby Anderson WR
Pharoah Cooper WR/KR
Tre Boston S
Joe Schobert or Blake Martinez ILB
Andrew Billings or Maliek Collins DT
Jordan Jenkins or Markus Golden EDGE

These are all B/B- players that can fill some holes in our defense without breaking the bank. If we can check off every box we should be set up great next year.
Golden and Anderson would be cool. I like Schobert.
that won't work. We have 34 million in cap space after the Peters hire and will need around 6m or more for draft picks, so that brings us down to 28m. We also have to sign some RFAs. Extending Judon is going to cost around 17-18m. Chris Jones will be the same or more and Schobert could be around 15m. We can't do that to our cap and be in this situation again.

I agree we will most likely let one of Jimmy or Carr walk and Biadasz would be a good signing but I'm hoping an edge or MLB in the draft.
You can wiggle with the cap to do it but we’ve seen how that works out over the years. I don’t think we have a shot at Chris Jones. I don’t think he ever hits free agency.
I guess in the case we don't sign judon it's weaver for me. Not sure about terrell lewis ( epic ravens name tho)
Terrell Lewis reminds me of Carl Lawson.

What pass rusher is available in free agency you want? I don’t see Clowney or Ngakoue hitting FA. I think we need to do both honestly—sign a FA edge defender and draft one. That said, I don’t have high expectations for a major impact player there in FA. I’d rather get Schobert than draft one. I’m not too impressed by this ILB draft class. I mean you have some guys in the Draft like Murray and Jennings but not much beyond them from what I’ve seen so far.

I had surgery 2 days after the game to occupy my thoughts. Now I'm pumped full of Endone and watching Rick and Morty.
