For the money we paid , I wasn’t too impressed with Thomas last year . I don’t think the Ravens front office was either

Neither was I. And I feel like a lot of other people's current opinions on ET would change if we were talking about this during last season with the blown assignments he had.
It's 2020 and we still haven't replaced Reed. Imo
he allowed 113 total yards. He quietly had a very good year.
it seems to be more about this sort of stuff:
didnt seem to want to put the work in the same way he did in seattle - or maybe in seattle it was easier because the playbook was so simple as a safety whereas this is one of the most communication important defences there is - complex in a good way
probably one of the reasons this didnt work out so well is that after CJ got signed we scrambled and made a play at a big signing but hadnt actually ever spoken to earl before we signed him
Shitty situation but glad it's coming to an end. Would love to trade him for just about anything but I find it hard to believe a team is willing to guarantee him $10M at this point.
It would be awesome if they can get out of it and throw that money at Logan Ryan who is trying to classify himself as a S now.

My eyes told me , particularly the first half of the season, that he was not very good.
the effort he showed in the run game on a few plays during the season is what we all saw, but he still had a very good season overall.

Tbh we didn't use him to his strength. I thought there must be more than what was reported before. You can't be late to meetings.
I like earl but i knew coming here would be different. I called it soon as he got here. From cover 3 basic defense to our defense has to be a lot to learn.. had a decent year last year. Wasnt standout but it was good. I was betting on him to have an all pro year with us this year so this suck i csnt see him ball.. def gonna be missed and cant be replaced....... hooker to ravens
i found the deshon elliott play and im gifing it - interestingly in the pre-snap it looks like clark, levine and elliott are all telling earl he's got it wrong but earl sticks to what he's seen and elliott drops into single high to solve the problem but earl blew the coverage and luckily dalton went after bethel and elliott was able to get over the top:

I totally agree with this comment. Hopefully he is traded though.
well he did well on the field here allowing only 113 yards, but it's his 'tude that is getting him traded or cut. Not really his play on the field.
i mean we didnt not use him to his strengths - we just also asked him to use his instincts in other aspects of the game and tbf he did pretty well in his first year in that sort of role - but clearly he wasnt up to the classroom stuff (and you can see that in the deshon elliott play ive just gifed - literally being told by 3 different safeties what to do and he tells them no and gets it wrong)
