here comes the legal fight - we may end up with cap relief off the back of this but im assuming it will be disputed which means we probably wont get the benefit of the relief until next year or at least some time during the season would be my guess

Yep this will be a lengthy fight so while we're gunning for that $10M, we're not getting it now.

I’d like to know what players said this. I can’t believe everything I read from the media. Regardless, he’s just been released

This is more than just media. You can reference virtually any reporters' Twitter feed right now and you'll see this is more than an isolated incident and this was just the final straw. Lots of issues there and it's not being perpetuated by the media.

Huge mistake on our part. You’re telling me Harbaugh couldn’t deal with ET when he’s dealt with so many personalities during his coaching tenure in Baltimore? Earl was quietly dominant as the season went on. I don’t trust Elliot to even last a game without getting hurt. Only way they can salvage this is trading him instead of cutting.
the players didn't want him either. This was an organization decision, not just a Harbaugh decision.

what are you talking about - the players on this roster dont air their grievances in public - never have... zrebiec and insiders have been telling us since earl punched chuck that the leadership council felt this way and that players and coaches didnt like what had been going on

what more do you want? you want actual players to come out and say stuff about earl on the record? because that's not professional... earl's the only figure from inside the castle who aired any of this in the public sphere everything other than that was insider stuff

I mean it wasnt like his seattle earl which is what most were expecting.
I don't think anyone expected that. Yes he was still good, but he had aged. Kind of like Campbell. I expect him to be good and a fantastic leader, but I don't expect him to have his best days in Baltimore.

Who makes up the players council ? Gotta believe Lamar is on it . Who else ?
Marlon, Jimmy, Calais was probably added the second we signed him, Clark and some more defensive vets. I can’t really see any offensive players in it since they’re so young and I don’t think Lamar cares for that stuff

oh and Judon probably invented it lol

Since it’s considered a leadership council , I’d be surprised if Lamar isn’t on it.

It wasn't Harbaugh. He didn't mesh with the defense and was basically voted out by the players.

Didn't even realized the list of problems with him behind the scenes.

harbs obviously didn’t want to lose the locker room either. i didn’t believe any reports post dv of us trying to ship him out. it made me mad when he predicted us vs kc and then spoke on henry. seems like a toxic guy. drop off in talent? sure. but team chemistry is better

well you know its bad when the entire team doesnt want you back including the veteran leadership - and the fact that management and coaches and front office are all aligned on the idea that he cant be here then you know that something was going very wrong

and credit where credit's due (and i feel dirty just saying it) - but JLC had this nailed when the incident happened

it'll be interesting watching the 2019 season with a finetooth comb given the stuff we now know about meetings etc. but will be telling what the communication looked like with earl in 2019 because ive already just accidentally found one clip of him freelancing and getting it wrong while anthony levine with 1000 career snaps at this point, chuck clark (in his first start) and deshon elliott (who's only played 70 defensive snaps in his career) got it right and the guy with 0 starts actually covered for his misread
Elliott looked frustrated as the ball was snapped
