The Ravens are sitting at about 38 mil in 2021 cap (OTC hasn't updated the cap carryforward for Yannick) with a cap total of 176 mil. I expect the total to increase a bit since the NFLPA agreed to a floor of 175 mil, but, it seems the NFL didn't really miss a beat this year, outside of attendance, of course.
Between RFA (Board and Gus Bus) and ERFA tenders that'll likely take out another 7 mil in cap. Ronnie probably gets tagged which would carry a cap hit of around 15 mil, but, if he gets resigned I'd have a hard time thinking his cap would be higher than that in 2021. Mark Ingram, Andre Smith, and De'Anthony Thomas are probably gone which saves about 7 mil in cap to cover the RFAs and ERFAs.
After tagging Ronnie, I see them resigning Yannick, Bowser, Ward, McPhee, Smith, Wolfe, Levine, Cox and maybe Skura if it's a team friendly deal, but unlikely. That would cause Judon, Snead, Moore, Ellis, Fluker, and RG3 to walk (and potentially get between 2 to 3 comp picks, in 2021). I don't see them having any cap left to sign any outside free agents after that.
They probably attack OT depth. WR, OLB/DE, and CB/S depth in the draft with their likely 6 picks (with the Pierce comp pick, not sure if we keep it due to the opt out). I'd expect between Bredeson, Philips, Mekari, and Powers someone improves over our current RG situation.
Also, to add there will likely be a lot of backloaded deals next year considering the expected cap decrease. There will very likely be a huge jump in cap between 2021 and 2022 with the expectation that fans will be back in the stands in the 2021 season and of course the new TV deals, when they come into play.
Thoughts?
