It’s difficult to run in the red zone so don’t even bother? It’s also difficult to pass in the red zone, so we shouldn’t bother there either and just kick field goals.

yesterday in all of our red zone possessions, we ran the ball either for a TD or to the 1(which possibly could’ve been a TD had the Steelers not laid on the ball and delayed), we shredded them on the ground whether we were in the red zone or not, and when we last played them we shredded them on the ground between the 20s and then got pass happy in the red zone and stalled, same as the Titans game.

the results yesterday suggest very strongly that your theory here is wrong, especially considering we did it with a small fraction of the talent compared to the previous games.

Saying we shouldn’t run in the red zone because the box gets tighter is frankly ridiculous, run lanes are gonna be the same regardless because it’s all horizontal spacing and the field is 50 yards wide no matter where you line up, but throwing windows are the ones that shrink dramatically when you can’t threaten vertically.

And you don’t see where going from Ingram to dobbins brings results? Maybe not directly in record because more shit went wrong than just running Ingram in our losses, indirectly though it very well could have made a difference. Ingram handoffs have been wasted downs, many times, and even on some of Ingram’s decent gains you see a lack of juice from him directly resulting in missed opportunities, windows that dobbins would’ve blasted through for big gains but instead it’s Ingram hitting a hole just as it’s closing for a modest gain, and then you have to factor in the snowball effect from there on out when we are gashing for double digit gains time and time again, so yes, replacing Ingram’s carries with dobbins throughout the year would have made a difference.

And I wasn’t necessarily saying play calling is a harbaugh issue, I’m saying that I am sometimes envious of teams with great offensive minds at HC who can step in on the fly and change it up when needed, like the mcvays and shanahans and reids, is that ok with you? Like is it ok that I wish harbaugh was more inclined with the Xs and Os? Or do you have to write 3 more bullet points as to why I’m not allowed to feel that way lol
Not even gonna lie, i like harbaugh.. yea if he was good with Xs and Os he would be even better, but im grateful for the culture he provides here.. all the losing seasons and bad teams we have had, he was able to still make those guys fight and he also stands up to the media when it comes to his players.. other than pollurd, not many people really have anything negative to say about him. We have players that get cut/traded from our team, yet they still try to recruit for us... thats still crazy af to me lol.

i mean i wish dobbins had been getting more carries since then

but to back up your point... if i recall correctly im pretty sure dobbins led the ravens RB group in snaps during the KC game
snaps yes, but only 1 carry. He did lead the team in catches with 4 though.

I like harbaugh too, I always have, there was a stretch in 2018 where I wasn’t so sure about him, but I’m absolutely a harbaugh fan.

that doesn’t mean I have to hail him as perfect with no shortcomings, I think he has some really bad shortcomings as a coach but I still think he’s an excellent coach and the guy for the job, he maintains the culture so well and is such a rock to this franchise. I just wish he had a few different qualities lol

Ingram was less effective and gained less yards than JK. Less yards mean more unfavorable 2nd and 3rd downs which leads to more stalled drives and less points. Longer drives also mean less time for the opposing offense to score.
So it might have impacted the game.
Yes. It would have impacted how many points the Ravens scored, which impacted how many points the Chiefs scored. As in... the Chiefs would have scored more, because nothing the defense did that day was designed to stop anything they were doing.

Amount of time available to score isn't really a factor with KC. They had five TD drives that went about 70 yards or longer on each, and three of them took less than 4 minutes.

Maybe Bernard Pollard ? I remember him trying to start a kind of mutiny but Îm not sure...
I think he was referencing active players, on the team, complaining about coaching. Pollard waited until he was out of the league entirely (at like 30) before he started throwing stones at glass houses, which is why literally nobody listens to his opinion about anything anymore.

He wasn’t with the ravens when he publicly began to bash harbaugh, I can’t remember a single instance of it.

And yeah perhaps I’m reading too much into it, but when it’s never happened before and suddenly it happens, on top of the total lack of swagger and confidence, it just feels like something is missing, and that is the kinda thing that is supposed to harbs’ calling card as a great coach.

I’m hoping the same energy that got into our practice squad spreads to our starters when they come back and this high energy hard hitting style continues the rest of the year, the teams been in a slump and they need a jolt.

also in regards to game planning and run/pass ratio, with Stanley and Boyle being out, and us replacing Stanley with a much more powerful drive blocker who is also not nearly Stanley’s caliber of a pass protector, and ALSO having options to get some push from the RT spot and also the long list of guys you can line up for jumbo packages, it feels like it’s time to maybe ask Lamar to spot us a play here and there rather than ask him to entirely shoulder the load, we are not built to pass the ball right now and that’s just the sad truth, our run game gets going when we stay diversified and don’t try to get TOO gimmicky and commit to it.

Bills QB Josh Allen just roasted the NFC East...

Josh Allen on Pat McAfee live: “Why not us? But again we're sitting at 8-3 & 8 wins doesn't win you the division unless you're in the NFC east.”

Chris Moore gonna come back and make a few plays, watch. He’s been making big ST plays for years.

i really dont know that he's needed tbh - special teams has been lights out without him
i guess he walks back into a gunner role maybe now that some of the other gunners are either out, coming back from injury or have had their roles expanded on other units but im really not sure he adds that much value right now

I would love to get hot, go 11-5 and play Pitt in the playoffs. There's just no way they'd beat us a third time. The first time we had to literally implode and it was close. Somehow though, I think Pitt was even worse against our practice squad the second time. If Lamar gets a chance at redemption, he's gonna take it. Just hope we can take care of business. The browns scare me.

Chris Moore was one of the best special teams aces in the league, other ST aces are doing great covering punts and kicks, Moore is forcing fumbles, blocking kicks, scooping up fumbles and blocks, all while doing great in kick coverage.

until proven otherwise Chris Moore is the best special teamer on this roster

If things go correctly, we could be set up for a revenge tour in the playoffs avenge everything in the past couple years. Ravens get the 6th seed, Titans get the 3 seed.

We go into Tennessee in the playoffs and knock them off. Pittsburgh gets the one seed, we knock them off in the Divisional Round. Then head to KC for the AFC Title Game where we finally get that monkey off our back en route to Tampa.

That sounds quite a bit like 2012, on the road to face Denver and NE and get over those humps.

I don’t think this is our year though, too much has went terribly wrong and the team would have to do a complete 180. I think we end up in the playoffs at least though.

We just need someone to tear a biceps and then use deer antler velvet spray to come back for the postseason.

I'm rooting for the refs to be Ravens fans. I want every favorable call even if it's blatant. They owe us this shit due to previous games lol.
