boykin's firmly on the bubble now that sammy's here - boykin mostly was playing the "x" by default because we had no one else to take that spot except for dez bryant later in the year (who also did very little)

now that sammy's here, and is also a good blocker, it massively minimises the need for boykin - if we end up drafting a WR who can play outside, boykin's roster spot looks to be in peril because while he contributes on special teams, we've got better gunners and special teamers than him, and while he's a great downfield blocker, that's not enough to win you a roster spot

he's going to have to have a really good camp when the pads come on (he always does well in shells and shorts and OTAs)
Every Wr not named Marquise Brown or Sammy Watkins is on the bubble.

Duvernay will make the team. They're not going to move off a 3rd rounder before his 2nd year at a position that they're so shallow in.

Duvernay would be safe solely on his returning ability, let alone draft status and potential that he showed at receiver.

Agreed. Even if he didn't win the return job somehow, they're still not going to cut him. They're going to carry at least 5-6 WRs on the 53 man. Assuming we add nobody else of note in FA, you'd have to have literally 3-4 WRs drafted that all beat out Duvernay, Proche and Boykin for jobs. That ain't happening.

Hollywood, Watkins and Duvernay are locks.
I'll say we draft two WRs. Likely both make the team, unless the second one is like a 7th rounder.
That'll leave 1-2 spots, likely for Proche (who I think they still like) and Boykin.

Only way I see this changing is with a FA addition of some note, which I'm not seeing at this point.

If the Ravens take a WR in the first three rounds of this draft (which I think everybody thinks they should), they'll have selected a WR in the first three rounds of each of the last three drafts. That + Watkins I think will be a good baseline for them to start.

and without checking, that may be the first time they have ever taken atleast 1 WR in the first 3 rounds of a draft since becoming a franchise.

I wrote wr. Imho i haven't seen much from duv that says "I'm a wr", instead i see more of a weapon that you move around the formation to create mismatches.

17 game season is now official, the Rams come to Baltimore for the extra game. All of the AFC North will be home teams, Seattle heads to Pittsburgh, Arizona heads to Cleveland and the Bengals will play the 49ers.

Thoughts?

I mean... he had more receptions than Boykin.

Right now, he's easily the #3 WR on this team.

I literally dnt care about stats.. i see, you want to be correct so ill let you have it.. however, youre wrong though. Dnt ever mention boykin in any scenario that involves top wrs cause even that guy is bad
Hey man! I thought you were going to let him have it and the very next instant you decided to call him wrong! What's up with that?? laugh out loud!

Daniel Jeremiah said that there are zero front office members who he has spoken to who dont have Jamar Chase as the top wideout.

that surprises me - he’s got some amazing traits but he’s also got tons of reps where he’s lazy and tons where he’s completely pressed into oblivion...

like I’ve got no problem with anyone who has him number 1 at all (and I still go back and forth with the top 4 guys)... but it would surprise me if everyone does have him number 1...
