that is outrageous - i get it with stanley (he just isnt back yet) but my god...

i thought last year's OL was bad and we seemingly upgraded

the other thing i noticed was that Zeitler seems to hitch before a lot of the running plays idk if it's a true tell but it seemed to correlate

i think the thing that makes me super down about it is that the only legit other option to replace him has likely just gone down with a season ender...

If it starts that way next week, I’d genuinely rather see Mekari out there. At least he looked halfway competent. Hopefully Ealy does some developing down on the PS because he might be needed soon.

I get that this is the first dud of a game against a bad team in the Lamar era, and it’s been like 4 years since that’s really happened, but the team got outcoached and outplayed by one of the worst coached and least talented teams in the league on both sides of the ball. I do expect them to bounce back and make some noise, but the ceiling for the season definitely seems much lower than the past two where they rolled through teams like Vegas without even playing Lamar in the fourth quarter.

Zeitler’s hitch was really bothering me all game. I know I saw a tweet that he was doing it before he pulled, but then I saw a basic power concept where he did it too.

He wasn’t very good either

seems like both KC and us lost the orlando brown jr trade (albeit Oweh looked pretty great in his first game)

Oweh was my other big positive for the night. Did a little bit of everything for us. Consistency obviously isn’t there but you can see the signs.

i think the thing with mekari is that i actually like him as relief on gamedays but he's not someone i want teams to have a full week to plan how they're gonna attack him because then his shortcomings are really exploitable - but coming off the bench on gameday he's absolutely fine as a backup...

but you're right - Ealy's got a chance to do some growing up fast now - will be interesting to see who we add to the 53 at OL and is it Ealy or do we go outside the building

yeah i dont think it's about pulling - seems to be just generally running plays where he has to get out of his stance (or at least that's what i thought - but i wasnt spending a ton of time watching zeitler the whole game)

If I had to guess, it could be Schofield returning. Not that he’s any good either but desperate times…

if it were to be schofield then why was he not brought into the PS when we instead brought in andre smith... that would be my question

he was clearly the next guy in the preseason depth chart order by game entry (and play level) but he didnt make the PS nor any other PS...

Oweh was really impressive. Once he gets some moves and better technique, he could be special. He was flying off the edge but it’s like he was coming out so wide he’d run himself out the play and work his way back. The speed he’s displaying I hope he studies some of D.Freeney’s moves.

Could always be a guy that didn’t want to go to the PS. I would assume that’s why Smith was back at all… didn’t have any other options. But a 53 spot could entice Schofield back. Of course, this is all posturing.

i think i saw him spin at one point today but maybe misremembering

one rep he flattened the edge hard and it was beautiful

Why the fuck did Murray take over in the second half? Ty’Son clearly had the hot hand

obviously lamar putting this on himself but these kinds of quotes really are far more indicative of what state the OL is in

Everyone can get on Lamar’s case as much as they want but even the best are going to get rattled when your pocket collapses damn near every play. Poor kid always has to do fucking everything and still takes the blame for it

think he might have been hurt after a massive hit he took
Latavius does not look good. He reminds me of Mark from last year. Just run straight into the pile with no agility or vision
