Lamar was really good today. His stats are not indicative of how well he played. Amazing what happens when he has time to throw the ball. We give the O line a lot of grief but that’s two straight weeks of good football

idk that the OL was that great this week... obviously not watched again and dont have coaches film but my initial thoughts were the OL was far less effective this week than last week

I need Hollywood focused. With him it's not a matter of IF because we've all seen his big games and potential play out. He needs to fucking focus

Deep ball game is so close to clicking right now

Week 1 Lamar had no time to get the ball downfield but had one nice downfield throw to Watkins
Week 2 Lamar had time but overthrew hollywood by a couple of yards
Week 3 Lamar dropping dimes but Hollywood with the 2 deep bomb drops

hopefully the next step is these turn into catches - they do always say the deep passing game takes the longest to come together - feels like the chemistry is getting there but we now need Hollywood to hold onto these

because if he does then this offence becomes an explosive nightmare to defend

So disappointed in Queen though. So inconsistent. He's had moments this preseason and offseason where he's looked so much more comfortable but today was just a really bad showing. He's still really young so no reason to throw in the towel but we need to be better at ILB and it has to start with him.

How did Odafe do today? I keep seeing him getting so close to getting sacks, see him getting doubled on different plays....

I think you answered your own questions here - first 2 weeks they played 2 of the most high-powered offences in the NFL and this week they were completely depleted in terms of personnel

and even so they held the Lions to 17 points which you'd assume should have been enough (and in the end was just about lol)

and they made enough plays against the chiefs to end the game

they capitulated against the raiders in the 2nd half and you'd hope they'd be better after that

they need to be able to adjust to 2nd half adjustments better but the sky's not falling on defence

I definitely don't think the sky is falling for the defense. Not at all. They just need to find a way to better. Because we're gonna play tough teams and sometimes our offense will struggle. I think they can do it.
