Yes the number Rodgers just got is going to stay at the top for the next 3 years which is the obvious context (and they are already slicing their roster up and that is with manageable cap hits this year and next. Herbert is the only QB who might come close but I doubt it. If you are paying 50 million AAV, taking a haul of first round picks and starting over seems more prudent.
Frustrating day Ravens wise. Haydn Hurst to Bengals is big for them. Myles Jack can still play. And Z. Smith fell through.
Is Seattle LB at all in play? (Wagner)
Pierce is an upgrade over Williams and Ellis but not super hyped on it. Was a huge Pierce fan but that's a few years now.
If im watson panthers wouldve been easy answer for me
What if we still get Z
Should we take a chance with donte jackson or gilly? If we cant get any pass rushers that is
1. OK, but saying all of that, I'd give the Saints and Falcons, with their current roster, + Deshaun Watson, a much, much, much better chance of being a playoff team than I would giving Cleveland, with their current roster + Deshaun Watson.QBs do not win on their own (and these guys are never on the field as the same time as the other). If the pieces around you are terrible it doesnt mean anything. The Falcons have no defense and their weapons are not what they used to be so you basically are going to have to have a shootout with inferior weapons and the Saints are already trimming the talent before trying to fit a 35 million AAV over the next 4 years under their cap (and despite that they are already 20 million over next years cap before the draft and before executing the trade).
Yes the AFC is loaded but if you are going to win a Super Bowl you are going to have to beat the best in the NFL anyway so running from the best in the NFL is pointless and you may as well find the best roster and trust yourself to elevate it.
I'm waiting to see what happens. I'm hoping that he realizes in the next few days that he's NOT going to get a significantly better offer from anybody, and the Ravens refuse to sign him.then that would be amazing and id be pumped
the thing that's frustrating isnt him finding more money elsewhere
it's the fact that they verbally agreed and then pulled out - which ultimately is fine but i still dont understand how they misjudged their own value so poorly that they pulled out of that deal
Appears to be somewhat of a debate about whether a verbal agreement was ever given. It sounds like it certainly wasn't given by ZaDarius himself. It pisses me off the whole its a business narrative seems to justify your word meaning nothing. Where I'm from that just makes you scum. I'm all for a man trying to make as much money as you can and jumping from team to team if thats the way you can maximise your earnings. But if you agree to a contract then stick to it.
yes, still a very good player, just hope he can stay heallthy. That's really his only question mark.for what it's worth, pierce is the same guy he was when he left if not better - he's not declined at all
but i do understand that nose tackles and run defence arent that exciting lol
If that's case then I'd say it's just a shitty agent. Dont expect much from them tbh.Appears to be somewhat of a debate about whether a verbal agreement was ever given. It sounds like it certainly wasn't given by ZaDarius himself.
You can’t possibly believe that. It’s an agent trying to save face for his client after backing out.Appears to be somewhat of a debate about whether a verbal agreement was ever given. It sounds like it certainly wasn't given by ZaDarius himself.

I mean I have no other details that anybody else doesn't have. Its possible that's what it is, but I've also seen players be almost completely hands off in negotiations and they're basically not told anything until the agent has already agreed in principle with somebody. You can’t possibly believe that. Well I doubt they live in west and east Baltimore. And even then I don’t think those folks are taking ravens matters too personal lol.Doesn't his family still live in Baltimore? Seems like the last city in world you'd wanna piss off the citizens if your family lived there lol
Well that's disappointing. I'm rewatching the wire don't ruin my imageWell I doubt they live in west and east Baltimore. And even then I don’t think those folks are taking ravens matters too personal lol.

Normally when we see a player back out of a deal, they have another deal lined up. Odd that's not happening here.
