Seems like we get guys and aren't decisive on what we want them to do. This probably contributes to their lack of production early. You won’t ever hear me hate on Paul Kruger
Absolutely, we almost did it with bowserSeems like we get guys and aren't decisive on what we want them to do. This probably contributes to their lack of production early.
Who is pepeyeah they had it in peter king's article and then you can see the conversation he had with pepe in the draft room when we picked him in a few places including the draft "wired" episode
but EDC clearly trusts and respects him a lot - blackburn, as you say, literally petitioned for EDC to draft Pepe the morning of day 3 (before the 4th round began) and again in the draft room when the board was thinning at the end of R4 and while day 3 is normally "scouts day", it's a pretty big deal to actually put your faith in someone like that

I think dobbins is gonna have to embrace a more power centric style over his lightning quick and explosive style. Find it hard to believe he’ll have the same explosion and flexibility after this, it was a NASTY injury.Should we be legitimately concerned that JK and Gus won't start the year and that JK in particular will never be the same? The BR.com article had some quotes from the former Chargers head physician that sounded very doom and gloom.
The answer to that question aside, why are doctors commenting on specific peoples injuries when they aren't even their patients? Its just dumb because even JK's doctor wouldn't comment because that would be against the law. Then you're gonna have some rando doctor comment from the peanut gallery as if he could possibly know what's going on in JK's situation in particular. I understand the guy has seen a lot of similar things and could possibly have some useful trend information to provide, but it feels really dumb and undoctor like. idk

Good thing is I think dobbins has enough .
he's young and could very well still get his explosion back. Could take an additional season though, but will still be effective this season.I think dobbins is gonna have to embrace a more power centric style over his lightning quick and explosive style. scheme is completely different and they had a very bad run blocking scheme. Can't compare the twoI hope yall are right. The stupid doc cites Barkleys drop off and he was better than JK pre injury.

Yikes to the first part of that hahaha. I hope he comes back strong. So sad for running backs to get these injuries which can dreail careers.wait is this the same former chargers physician who punctured tyrod taylor's lung?
or is it the twitter one who's been sued multiple times for malpractice and negligence by both players and other athletes and at one point the NFLPA stepped in to demand a review of his credentials?
i get being skeptical of JK's recovery timeline and there are some stats that do suggest that the injury will impact his explosion and longevity
but also it's impossible to know that until he gets on the field - he will likely struggle early in the season but i'd expect him to improve as he gets further and further away from the injury

I mean there are Cam Akers types, but then there are Tod Gurley types. I hope JK is more like Cam. He was just getting started
If Gus is a full go week 1 and looks like himself, and you've got something good between Badie, Hill, and Davis, they should ease JK back in.for what it's worth, todd gurley had a degenerative knee condition even before he was drafted that made his earlier than normal career derailment inevitable
akers was an achilles which is interesting because it used to be that the achilles was the tricky one and the ACL the "easy" one, but it seems there have been some significant leaps regarding the achilles - akers was surprising (especially with how explosive he looked on his return), but achilles recovery times have been coming down and been garnering better results (justice hill is already a full participant in practice despite being injured within the same week as the other 2 ravens RBs
i can buy that with the LCL involved in JK's tear as well that maybe he might take a little longer but i would be surprised if Gus isn't ready for at least some snaps by week 1
