To me it is Ed Reed as well. He was the most destructive (in a real sense) defensive player that we ever had. He was impossible to account for which gave nightmares to offenses. As for Ray, I agree he was the greatest MLB of all time and the greatest leader in football history (hence the statue). But, for just on field play and joy to watch, it was the mercurial Ed Reed for me as well.We have 3 GOATs in our franchise(at the very least all top 3) in ray, ed, and JO....
putting all antics and accolades aside, who is actually the greatest on field player? I gotta give it to ed Reed. Ray was the most inspirational and he's by far the greatest MLB of all time, but when it comes to just being the best player period, it's ed Reed to me. Who you got?

I agree, my favorite is Ed Reed. He was like having 12 men on the field. Always felt like he was in more than one place at a time.We have 3 GOATs in our franchise(at the very least all top 3) in ray, ed, and JO....

Agreed on both counts, fellas. When I was younger, I hated playing defense when I played with my friends in my neighborhood. After really watching Reed, he inspired me to play safety any time I was on defense.Ed Reed and it's not even close for me which just says how high I hold him. My favorite player ever and was the one I was most excited for getting a ring( and an int in the SB).

Bill bellichick envied us so bad because of him lol, he had a straight up man crush on ed reedI think the most affirming point behind how good Ed Reed is is the clip of Brady and bellichek talking about how you try and beat him - those 2 goats recognised another one
