Lamar Jackson

Don't think so. Lamar Jackson is worth what he is asking based upon the recent market. He continues to hold his ground and make his position known. At this point its pay him fast or lose him. Pay the Man Bisciotti. Its spring and you're way out on the pond ice and its thin.
What is he asking for? And without any offers from other teams how do we know what the "recent market" is for his services?

Why would they pay him fast when they have him under control for $32M this year?
He doesn't have the balls to sit out. And if he manages to find them, its not like fans are exactly going to be sympathetic to a pro-athlete refusing to play for $32M.

You think guys making $10/hour are going to be like "yeah Lamar, hold out for that shit"... lol. Not a chance in hell. He'll get eviscerated by the public for that. Especially after turning down $133M fully gtd too.

And what's clear now is that Lamar very, very, very much cares about his perception.

Also, what exactly is "his position" and who exactly knows what it is?

I hope for Lamar's sake he gets it together. I don't want him to become the next Kaepernick / Newton. Like the moment an athletic QB loses a bit of their game and they are in the "outspoken" or big personality class, the NFL basically just disregards them

I don't see him in the same vain, at least yet. The guy clearly just overplayed his hand and is now on some semblance of damage control to try to drive a deal to the finish line, whether here or elsewhere. Assuming the report that he's looking at other teams and doesn't want fully guaranteed is true, that seems like a clear admission that he's looking for basically ANY deal out there close to his price range because he does not want to play on the tag.

Yeah he's not in that vein yet. I just hope he rights the ship and gets back on track and doesn't descend further into this NFLPA vs the league shit storm. Because if he does, I think he could end up like them.

Joey if he doesn't change strategy very soon he's gonna be cold and wet and so are we.
Come on man, his body of work is not undone regardless how the Lamar situation plays out. He runs one of the best organizations in the NFL and has two championships.

Steve and his team are respected throughout the NFL and business worlds as doing things the right way and treating all of their employees with respect. It's only a select few that feel any other way, those feelings are strictly personal and aren't based on any facts.

I mean... have you looked around? You really think poor people are sympathetic towards rich people who are bitching about $ of literally any kind?

Like go ask any non-sports-fan what they think about a pro-athlete holding out from a $32M annual salary, or turning down an offer of $133M over three years. Guaranteed "sympathy" won't be the response you get in about 99% of the people you ask.

The only people sympathetic are the one's who understand the business side of the sport, which is a very small % of the population. And even some of them aren't.

The guy making $10/hour doesn't think there's a difference between the millionaire or the billionaire. All he thinks is they're both overpaid, and that he's underpaid. There's no deviation.

I don’t think you have to be in a miserable state of mind to not be sympathetic towards Lamar’s situation. I mean think about it. Dude made $23 mil. last year, apparently turned down a 5 year extension with $175 mil. guaranteed regardless of injury. $200 mil. guaranteed if he’s on the roster 5 days into the 2026 league year.

I’m having terrible flashbacks to when a lot of us listened to Le’Veon Bell’s song on Spotify to see if he was signing with the Ravens lol
That’s facts bro that’s exactly who Lamar has reminded me of throughout this. Yeah he hasn’t sat out a year yet but… damn.

...he managed to represent himself potentially right out of a good deal for a less lucrative franchise tag paycheck. Bisciotti has him by the shorties.
