i dont think the back end is necessarily weaker - i think we've got more guys who are entrenched enough that they're not going to play a second of preseason we've got non-starting guys at various positions who havent played a snap of preseason because they dont need to

that obviously puts more pressure on depth but i just think it's more emblematic of how deep down the depth chart you have to go to find the preseason starters vs actual depth issues

The thought was the last few years I have had 54 to 56 guys (excluding wolfpack) I would want to make the team meaning there's multiple hard cuts. This year I don't even have 50. I have 49.

This is kinda where I’m at. Usually there a couple of cuts that hurt a tad. This year there are a couple of guys making it that hurt a tad.

Our floor is certainly 10 wins, but I don't think anyone is happy with that. We should be competing for a Super Bowl, and if our best team couldn't beat the chiefs in a down year; how is a potentially terrible offensive line the answer to succeeding? We are lucky enough to be in a position to compete with anyone (mainly mahomes) so why are we relying on bums to block Lamar? If you buy a Ferrari, you should park in a garage, not on the street.

2011 ravens > 2012 ravens, an OL reshuffle propelled us to a Super Bowl.

Perhaps Ben Cleveland steps in late season and changes our fortunes.

Keeping just one allows you do to absolutely anything with the other and I would have faith. Having 3 new players, 2 who have never played next to each other, is just stupid. It doesn't matter if those are pro bowl players, you are asking a lot to learn how the other plays.

I know it will strengthen out later in the season, but if we want a good shot at the chiefs again, winning the north and avoiding Lamar bruises is a great direction.

Yep. I believe the depth is weaker, but it's also totally understandable. You need guys on rookie contracts to play and play well when you have a QB and a host of other guys at or near the top of the market. Sucks when they don't rise to the occasion but the story isn't written and there are still opportunities to get better players if needed too. Not everything has to be some veteran that has been around the block.
