I hope they did have a word or two. He keeps letting coordinators calling stupid game when everything is on the line. 4th quarter was a display of incompetent coaching.
When you give up almost 600 yards it isn't simply coaching, it is also talent or lack thereof.

He p

Honestly, this is a very favorable schedule. I won’t speculate so I doubt anything was said but dude, if we drop two of these next three then I’m pretty sure someone is getting fired.
I didn't say he wouldn't get fired, nor did I say we were gonna drop them. Was just saying that I don't think Steve is gonna hang discipline over harbaughs head right now while we're in the thick of it, he doesn't strike me as that kinda guy, he's not one for distractions and that's the ultimate distraction

Speaking of discipline, we are one of the lowest penalized teams in the league. Much improved over the last couple yrs

clearly the FO had words with him after the game. You can feel the pressure and frustration getting to him. Very angry tone at press conferences since the game.
May have had words but I'm saying I don't think there was any threats or ultimatums. I'm sure Steve was sick and had something to say, but probably more along the lines of "you know Marty and dean lost us this game right?" And I just get the feeling that harbaugh is PISSED about the loss and just hasn't gotten over it yet. And that's good. I don't want a loss to longer but I want this specific loss to light a fire, I wanna see everyone pissed the hell off and looking to make a statement, we've shown that we have the talent, shazier or no we ran all over the steelers with a patchwork line and eliminated cam heyward and jj watt to a lesser extent, flacco is moving around the pocket well, he's dropping dimes, guys like Moore and Wallace are making plays left and right, Alex Collins is a world beater, and as long as we aren't facing an elite wr tandem like the steelers have and an elite OL as well then our defense can hang. For instance, the steelers are built to beat a jimmy-less ravens with those skill positions, the patriots on the other hand I don't think so because our defense can counter their system and their wr talent isn't the kind that is gonna run wild on brandon Carr like AB can. Carr has still had a solid season and this game was an outlier against the best wr in the league with no safety help(which is on pees). We have shown that we can score, we have shown that we can defend, we just can't let WRs run wild on Carr, and if we can get the scheme down and our guys play pissed off then we are dangerous, harbaugh knows it and he's pissed off that the coordinators and a few key players fucked this game royally and he wants shit straightened out

You can only blame coaching so much, that's a cop out. You need talented players on the field who can execute.

we do. leaving brandon carr 1 on 1 with antonio brown at that point in the game isnt something you can blame on a lack of talent. newsflash, most teams dont have 2 elite corners, and many of them still win games and dont give up multiple long touchdown drives in mere minutes because they are down 1 cb, those teams are still able to win because their DC isnt stupid enough to leave their average corners to defend elite receivers on an island in crunch time. that is on pees, point blank period. mosley getting worked by jesse james was on mosley, the lack of pass rush was on our rushers, but brandon carr was horribly pushed off of TWICE in single coverage, and in crunch time was put on an island with AB again when he should not have been.

lack of talent or not, you dont ask brandon carr to do that at that point in the game. hell you should think long and hard about even asking jimmy smith to do that.

It wasn't lack of talent that decided Carr should cover Brown one on one. It wasn't lack of talent that decided not to try to run out the clock while we had the lead in the final moments.

exactly - players are of course culpable because they didnt execute but in key situations they werent put in the position to have the best chance to execute

And for 5 years running (and more actually) this same shit happens and Pees is excused by "not having talent on defense".
Give me a break.

yeah, even without jimmy, pees has fucking talent on defense, maybe some of the best in the league, yet he blitzes his safeties while defending a lead rather than his ILB who needed to be blitzing so he didnt get worked in coverage, and in the process left no safety help for brandon carr vs AB.

he continues to play tim williams on run snaps and hes on the goddamn sideline for most of the game despite them passing 60 times, and if judon didnt get hurt bowser wouldve barely saw the field also, but when bowser stepped on the field he may have been the best defender out there, and tim williams has pretty consistently beaten his tackles off the edge and sunday night was no exception.

he has the talent now, and doesnt know how to fucking use it because if they cant stop the run or drop in coverage they cant play, no matter how obvious a passing down it is.

I won't waste my breath arguing but I also honestly don't think Bisciotti told Harbaugh "Dean and Marty lost the game for us". I know people in the organization and that isn't what he said. Lol

Quenton nelson is the most pro ready all pro in first year guard. He is the julio jones of offensive linesman.
do it ozzie..
there is an institutional bias with N.D. players. they are Always rated better than they truly are. to take a N.D.er he has to really stand out and not seeing that with Quenton Nelson. you pay a draft premium when a N.D.er gets rated high, so you pay more to get less, unless you are sure. If you gotta go N.D. its better to go there in later rounds. Joe Theisman timing for instance. Think he went in the 4th. No...don't gimme, don't gimme no nelson......don't gimme no nelson no.

The guy we need to draft for guard is maea teuhema. gimme some of that Polynesian.......gimme Polynesian yeah!!!

Yeah! Ronnie Stanley is a total bust! As is Zack Martin! Fuck them both!

what the hell are you talking about? - when was the last time a Notre Dame lineman got overdrafted?

ronnie stanley, nick martin and zack martin are the last 3 notre dame offensive linemen to come out and they've all been well worth their draft position - and both mcglinchey and nelson are not players who will be rated higher because of where they play - no its because the play that they produce is of a high calibre...

and outside of just lineman here are some recent notre dame players at all positions well worthy of their draft spot:
ronnie stanley
will fuller
jaylon smith
nick martin
zack martin
stephon tuitt
tyler eifert
theo riddick
manti te'o
michael floyd
harrison smith
kyle rudolph
golden tate

in that same time period the list of high round picks who didnt/havent panned out are:
troy niklas (who has had 6 surgeries in his 4 year career)
jimmy clausen

and given that your only justification in drafting terms for only picking notre dame players in the later rounds comes from a reference to a draft pick made in 1971 i dont think its even remotely relevant

you are perfectly entitled to dislike a prospect (although im not sure how anyone could dislike quenton nelson given his tape and his play) but using the school as a reason why is not relevant especially when that supposed institutional bias has absolutely no basis in fact - so if you dont want nelson (as you suggest) then give me reasons beyond his school not to pick him

if we were to land mike mcglinchey or quenton nelson in the first round i wouldnt worry about the rest of the draft because we would have landed unbelievable steals for where we draft

also im not sure why being polynesian is important in evaluating or even remotely relevant...

Time to come out - are you Mink or Downing?
We know who he really is

what did you do google every N.D. player drafted the last few years and throw them all up against the wall hoping some might stick? ...lol
Man that's what ozze does!!!

seriously, you're mad aren't you? ...come on be honest....you're mad..admit it and you're looking for some form of "getback" just like Bengals are gonna be laying in wait for us!!!

you mad bro! you mad cuz you said humpf broke on the balls he pic'd vs G.B. and Detroit and I posted videos that proved nuthin could be further from the truth and you got mad!!!!

well as is said in parlance of the pickers, "Don't draft angry".

now to answer your question quite honestly, if you can stay away from N.D.er's in the first couple rounds and draft somoan you're well on your way to owning a draft.
