As far as canady and hill, they played well in preseason but havent showed me anything in reg season that would allow me have any faith in them.

I think Canady has been decent. Hill hasn't really gotten a lot of playing time.

hill has had no playing time to show either way
canady has absolutely shown that he's a good slot corner - he's had a large amount of success in the slot since he came back from injury - not sure what you were expecting but he's been pretty damn good and has made some big plays too (for example straight away i can think of the qb hit on the lions backup qb that sealed the game by making him throw the ball straight to weddle for the pick 6)
