Funny, just minutes ago I actually just had to school someone on Boston tea party history. They said how stupid it was to dump tea that was already taxed and paid for to protest a tea tax...
Man, you should avoid Facebook.

On topic I would be so happy if we pull a miracle out of our asses and our Oline of unprovens turns out to be a monster. Thats unlikely but Im secretly hopeing while I deride our current situation.

Also partly on topic in regards to the Boston Tea Party

Don't forget the rocks push up bra and and Starbucks special breast milk for your coffee straight from the crocks lactating Boobie's!!

I know our offensive line is unproven. But I think we are all a little optimistic and hoping for the best. Unproven but big strong and athletic. Jensen 325 lbs and leaner then ever. Stanley has really grown up since Notre Dame being able to fit the weight room in his schedule now consistently. Eluemunor is a natural bull. Very strong and mobile. He is smart to and could catch on faster than thought. And Alex Lewis looks really good. Like Stanley he is growing into that big long frame and is up to a lean 320 lbs. it would be nearly pulling a miracle. But nobody is discounting them.

I think the line might struggle a bit in the beginning of the year outside of Yanda and Stanley since we're depending on a lot of young, unproven talent. However, we picked up weapons that excel in turning short, quick passes into big gains (Maclin and Woodhead). The line will get better as the season goes, and we have the personnel to deal with issues early on.

I would second that. With the line it's all about getting into a rythm, and I don't know if it was the Castillo effect but the OL tended to start slow and get better as the season wore on (even with Ducasse as the starter). I think Lewis will be good to very good right off the bat, and Jensen will get into a rythm after three or four games.
As you said, we should expect more runs and short passes during that time, and see more deep shots as the season goes on.

Stanley - goose - Jensen - yanda - Lewis is still the best combo imo unless Lewis is absolutely horrid at RT to our surprise.

Something just tells me that the ravens coaches saw something special in eluemenor, something that we just can't see. Idk why, just a hunch I guess, but we have seen specimen OL turn into excellent players for us before, like gaither minus the laziness, if eliemenor is smart and a hard worker then he could turn out better than gaither and come on faster than we think. He's a guy I would look out for a year from now.

But they're putting him at OG for the moment.

So I was browsing through a few player twitters and came across Jensens page, now he's an outdoorsman type with dogs etc which isn't surprising but then I noticed the food he eats, it's all crap, smoke ribs, burgers, fries, pizza, brownies etc and thats only in the last 6 months.

Now I'm not trying to be the food police or anything but how does that make any sense? if you're making 2 million a year and your jobs requires you to be in the best shape possible why would you eat like that? he's supposed to be competing for a starting spot.

Not too worried about Jensen's diet. He's not excessively huge ala Terrance Cody and he's an offensive lineman. I know it doesn't look like he's in shape, but 95% of offensive/defensive lineman can out bench a ton of body builders, and run in circles around them because their endurance is top notch despite having a big gut. A lot of what he's eating is fat heavy protein, which would actually help him out in the weight room. It's what several power lifters I know eat. They only care about one thing: keeping/maintaining strength.

It's not like he's Cody who looked like he ate 30 ala mode cakes for dinner every night

Not to mention, while looking through his feed. He's a colorado guy like myself. He hunts and eats a ton of the food he hunts, which is actually so much better for you than any of the stuff you can buy at a market.

Elk sliders? Probably hunted that himself and is cooking it. Lean, healthier piece of meat

He likes that food but probably doesn't eat it every day. Especially judging by him being in the best shape of his career. Offensive lineman most of the time could use a little excess weight so he doesn't get pushed around. But not to the point it hinders explosion and movement skills. Many OLineman need that little excess to keep them over that 300lb plateau. To keep from getting pushed and jerked around. Very rare you find an Oline mate at 305 and heavier without carrying a little excess. Unless he is one of those rare specimens that can carry 305 -320 lbs while maintaining a very lean frame like Tyron Smith. Osemele and Lewan aren't quite as lean but are very lean for a 320 and 330lb lineman.

If a lineman like Lewan can carry 320lbs without carrying to much fat it has clear advantages. However a lineman has to be careful not to carry to much muscle as well. Cuz that to can cause him to lose explosion and movement skills. It's all about the best balance.

All I know about dieting is that if I were an NFL olineman making hundreds of thousands of dollars I sure as shit wouldn't be eating pizza and french fries. Hell, I hardly eat that shit now. I could see ribs and red meat sparingly but I'd be eating lots of chicken and turkey. I don't understand why he wouldn't want to maximize his ability.
