Seriously though. THANK FUCK for this. That contract would've inevitably have been an albatros.. Here's to hoping Hurst fails his physical too.

Sign Crabtree the moment he enters the building tomorrow. He's an easy upgrade over anything we had last year even with his case of the dropsies. He would ACTUALLY be worth money.

And fix this damn line.
His contract was very very cheap in the first couple yrs. even the dead cap after two yrs wouldn’t have been bad at all. He would never see yrs 3 and 4 yr base salaries

I really don't wanna be that guy... but... If the moves we'd made so far are any indication of how our season will go, everyone needs to prepare themselves for the potential of a HEAVY overhaul next year. We're basically going with a brand new wr corps, new DC and another variation of a patchwork OL. We also face so pretty damn good competition. If this team doesn't click this season, or turns out a bunch of 17 performances, the offense and staff is going to look MUCH different next year. Hell, good chance the defense has 5 "new" faces starting, but let's focus on the mess that will be the 18 season.

All of this....is such a sad reality. However, the NFL is as unpredictable as it gets (well not as unpredictable as March Madness, but I digress). Plus, we still have the draft to see which new bloods become Ravens. Put it like this, I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I'm just......eh. Now let me reiterate, if we do not address this shitshow of an offsense sans Collins by the time the draft is over, I agree that heads need to roll.

That would be music to my ears but only if it includes new coaching regime.

I'm with you. I know I look pessimistic, but the reality is this team has barely been able to hover around .500 ball and has not improved much, if any. I'm not mad, I'm just accepting of the fate it looks like this current team will suffer. Who knows, look at what the Saints pulled off last draft.

I've said since last year, 18 would be Harbs last year if the team fails again. Never thought he'd be canned last year, though.

I'm a masochist. I won't abandon them and unfortunately will watch EVERY game through that I'm able to.

People said the same exact things about our past season, and if it wasn't for a defensive collapse at the end of the season we'd be in the playoffs. Yes, the defense, not offense. So I'm not going to jump on the anti-hype bandwagon yet.

Pick 6 wasn't the defense. And how about the shit games the offense turned in? If they didn't shit the bed against the Bears and Titans to name a couple, those games would've had us in the playoffs as well...

I don't really expect to make any more moves in FA if we somehow get Crabtree, but I'm surprisingly disappointed that we didn't extend Mosley. But this coming draft will determine the fate of the Ravens for quite some time.

Also, given Biscotti's quotes in the State of the Ravens presser, Harbs is as good as gone if we fuck up. I agree with @allblackraven . We better clean house with the coaching staff and start over even if that means (unfortunately) a couple of losing seasons.

To be quite more realistic, our offense will under perform in a couple games and we again miss the playoffs by 1 or two, once again picking 16th in the 2019 Draft. Steve will say how with a whole new WR core we showed potential, therefore Harbs and the entire offensive staff will stay to build on what we started in 2018. That's exactly what will happen.

Truth is, this team has been the same since 13 for the most part. Offense sucks defense carries most of the weight. Whenever the offense turns it around, if they do, Jimmy's injured and defense sucks. The past 2 seasons ended basically the exact same way. Offense is super trash for at least half the season and when they finally decide to turn it up the defense clocks out early. Insert small lead, cue unclutch defense, rinse and repeat.
