Ravens Rumors/team draft visits

A potential opportunity to trade down per Tony Pauline :

* While everyone, including ourselves, has mocked Taven Bryan to the Atlanta Falcons, I’m told the player they are really targeting is Da'Ron Payne. The feeling is that Payne is much stouter at the point than Bryan, an opinion we completely agree with. I have gone on record that Payne is one of my favorite defensive players in this draft and is ridiculously underrated. The Falcons would likely have to trade up for Payne, and two teams ahead of them looking to move down are the Seattle Seahawks and the Baltimore Ravens.

I'm personnally not very convinced by your example. That's a big hole but it looks like it'd get filled the moment he stepped in it with Meeks and two unblocked backers.
There is also an easy bounce out opportunity, but one things for certain, taking one step to the left gives him a much better opportunity than what he did. And this is just a quick example, his tape is littered with this.

It may not even be vision, it might just be impatience. But regardless I don't think he's worth a round 2 pick

My dad asked me last night who we were picking at 16. My response was "ask me again at 15." I love the mystery this year.

If you give him some help from the OL that hurried style is going to put pressure on defenses, so that can be a big asset. I don't like the fit with our power scheme but he's totally worth a second round imo.

I'm not sure if I believe it, but Schefter reporting people around the league believe the #1 pick is going to be Mayfield, which could really shake up the draft and all but ensure 4 QBs in the top 5 or 6.

1. Mayfield
2. Darnold
3. Rosen
4, 5, or 6 (via trade back). Allen

This makes a lot of sense - teams would be worried about the chargers and lions taking dline - and if the Seahawks don’t trade down even they could take a dlineman

Those would be great moves for those first 3 franchises - those are easily the top 3 qbs - it makes too much sense though - someone’s gonna go fuck up im sure

Agreed. It makes a ton of sense on paper but it seems the Giants will only select Darnold out of the QBs. Crazy how what the Browns do at 1 could completely change the shape of the draft like that. If it turns out Mayfield is 1 though, I think it's definitely best case scenario for the top 3.

Mayfield number 1 might see 4 qbs in the top 4 if there’s a bidding war - could definitely see 5 qbs in the top 10 if baker goes first

According to the trade value chart(and for whatever that is worth), a 3rd alone would not cut it for the Falcons to trade spots with us.

A two is almost spot on with us potentially giving our sixth to them if abiding strictly by the letter.

Yeah the trade value chart is a little wonky now - and considering a lot of teams and evaluators have come out and said there’s only 17-20 1st round players in this draft class there’ll be a bit of an extra premium on moving up into a spot to get one of those players - so maybe we could get a straight up 2 from the falcons given that it’s late in the round

And the value is never fully even on that chart anyway - I figure if we’re only getting a 3 to move back 8 spots it probably won’t get done

And it sounds like people should be prepping for Mayfield at 1. Lots of people saying Darnold now admitting they were wrong.

But, still sounds like the Giants will bypass Darnold which is insane to me. Jets looking to get Darnold right now if a trade isn’t made at 2.

I think Dorsey told Hue they're taking Mayfield. Hue probably leak it now. But I can't imagine Dorsey drafting Mayfield.

I don't believe so. Lots of people changing their tunes now are the ones that know Hue is typically a leak. Hard to believe they'd fall for that.
