And boy did he get grilled when he said those things to that female reporter. Lost an endorsement too. I don't care about the physical appearance of a QB. He could have the weirdest nose, strangest-shaped ears, teeth out of wack, etc., but if the man is producing like a top 10 QB, I guarantee people wouldn't give a shit then. Yeah I'm rambling on...so what lol.Ive always said the biggest issue with Jackson that no one wants to address is having a black QB lead the team. Its why Cam Newton still gets criticized for smiling
I don't think this will have helped. And people tell me that race isnt the problem with Lamar Jackson......
Baker Mayfeild ran from the cops and still got picked #1. Jackson wasnt even considered with the consensus "top 4 qbs"
Just stop.Ive always said the biggest issue with Jackson that no one wants to address is having a black QB lead the team. Its why Cam Newton still gets criticized for smiling
Jackson wouldve had a 60% completion percentage if it werent for the final game of the year. Oh and Brett Favre also had under 60% completion rate. Not to mention Baker Mayfeild had a better supporting cast.I don't think this will have helped.
Compared to Baker's.
The other thing is that of the QBs to get picked in the first two rounds (plus some others drafted in rounds three and four into situations with higher expectations than most) in the past decade, the only other ones to never throw for 60% or better in their collegiate careers were Chad Henne, Josh Freeman, Jake Locker, Christian Hackenburg and Matt Ryan (which is a weird name on that list but he went for 59.9% in his final year), as well as Josh Allen. There's definitely a lot to be excited about with him (and it won't have hurt that we've added two of the players who helped Baker put up that passing chart), but like I say I'm also a little worried.
Ugh...Just stop.
It has nothing to do with race. This is the NFL. Where a large % of the league is black. There have been many black QBs taken near the top of round 1. Quit with the race card it's ridiculous.Ugh...
Black men in leadership positions has always been a problem in football. This is why you dont have many black coaches, GMs, and QBs, even Centers for crying out loud.....its an issueIt has nothing to do with race. This is the NFL. Where a large % of the league is black. And i hate the fact that cam let them use him like that. Hate that he apologizes everytime for nothing.Ive always said the biggest issue with Jackson that no one wants to address is having a black QB lead the team. Its why Cam Newton still gets criticized for smiling
