Shut the fuck up about wonderlic scores already. It's been proven good QBs can have bad scores. Get tf over it. It's only 7 below average anyway.
You shut the fuck up! LMAO! Please list for me the “good QBs” in the last 20 years that have had bad scores. I hope Lamar succeeds, just saying the odds are stacked against it.

You shouldn’t get so upset about facts. They are just facts. lol

I think you get 10 pts just for signing the paper. So that's a good start. Don't have amnesia.

Winding up takes time. If he can develop a more conventional release he will be smoother and quicker. And as an NFL QB he’s not going to be running the ball a third of his plays in a game as he did in college. It’s a concern how that affects his passing and decision making abilities.

but his wind up isnt very long at all - his release is mostly fine - the problems he has in his action come from his lower body and the way he moves his left leg and sets his base

and most of those runs are designed runs - when he scrambles hes almost always looking downfield to pass and he delivers quickly even on the run

i use windup and release interchangeably at times, maybe theyre different but "wind up" is usually referred to when talking about a qbs release time.

and lamars wind up isnt time consuming either. he has a high and tight wind up, elbow out 90 degrees at shoulder height, short draw, quick release. his wind up and release is the least of anyones worries, it is perhaps the best part of his passing game, up there with his pocket poise and decision making. now the errant throws, thats a concern, he lets quite a few balls get away from him, but it stems from his footwork/base.

the way i think of wind up and release are slightly different but in lamar's case they are both relatively quick

for me the release is the whole throwing motion of the arm
the wind up for me is the articulation of the ball going backwards and loading - i.e. everything before the ball starts its forward momentum

in terms of lamar his release is fast and generates a huge amount of energy on the ball with quite a lot of efficiency - with his release id like to see him release the ball with better shape on it because i think there's a possibility for the occasional ball to spiral inefficiently and take a dive out of the air and that needs to be eliminated

i feel good about lamar - he has elements of his mechanics that need work but the fundamental hardest things to change for a college qb in my experience are decision making from the pocket (and reading the field) and release mechanics

footwork and overall accuracy can and do improve but seeing the field and release mechanics are difficult to change unless you completely break them down and build back up

there's a reason i had jackson ahead of allen and i was so tempted to have him ahead of darnold too

Lamar’s windup looks faster than Flacco’s. Btw Josh Allen, who plays like an absolute dumbass on the football field, had the highest wonderlic of any of the first round QBs.

i know the difference between wind up and release, i just use release when referring to the entire start to finish motion, just habit.

They’re not facts you’re just manipulating numbers to present them as facts. There are a lot of variables other than a wonderlic test that can lead to a QB not playing well. Again Lamar didn’t have an agent. His score would’ve drastically improved if he did. Actually look at the wonderlic scores there is no correlation between high scores and low scores. That article you posted had nothing to do with QB play just if QBs win the Super Bowl which everyone knows is more team related than just QB related.

Probably my biggest concern with Jackson is the accuracy, he has great arm strength on him but some of his throws were pretty bad watching his FSU game in 2016. If he can get better in that department, he could be really good. He got a bit better in 2017(always a good sign) against FSU but you can tell he still needs some work. Sitting behind Flacco a year could do him wonders though and I am happy he is in a situation where he doesn't have to play right away because with the right development he can be special with his rushing ability.

the improvement is a big deal - for me its even more emphasised by how much he improved just between the combine and his proday...

I think you need to go back and read the entire article. The facts about the SB QBs were only a part of what’s presented. And no one is talking about a QB not playing well, just about the facts about the ones that do play well almost always score above average. There’s no manipulation, just plain facts.

The only plain fact here is that Joe has one, maybe 2 years left in Baltimore and will be, for better or worse, replaced by uber talented young QB sooner or later. If his start to the season is mediocre or worse again, he might just become the highest paid backup QB in 2018.

Let me just say this and quite frankly, for the first time in ...god knows how many years, people are actually interested in us. We're news.. we're being talked about. lamar Jackson is what we needed..him or baker. Flacco has epitomized how the NFL and people as of large look at us

Boring.

that has changed. I've never seen so much press coverage and talk on shows about our team.

LMAO! That could be but it’s certainly not a “plain fact, but if thinking that way floats your boat have at it.

The last time was when we almost signed Kap. All the NFL shows have at least every other day a new segment about Lamar.
Just watched Harbs presser. I think all of the questions were Lamar related. I'm impressed how Lamar handles all those stupid questions.
