Dom McRaven
Hall of Famer
Then the football gods saw he was signing with the Ravens and was like, "Oh yeah? LMAOOO bet."Crabtree used to have very good hands.

Yessir. Thats why you gotta mentally tough for this shitfor all the talk of "you dont just forget how to catch balls" that may be true, but NOTHING gets into a WRs head more than drops. if a wr with great hands has a lot of drops early on, they start overthinking, actively trying not to mess up when catching and it just ends up making things worse, the overthinking creeps into the rest of their game. thats how sure handed guys end up flaming out due to drops. its literally what happened with jordan matthews, he was a surefire possession receiver in the nfl, and he had a moment where he was that, but the drops kept piling on and got worse and worse and more frequent, and now hes barely heard from.
Tbh in Matthew's case injuries have derailed his career.for all the talk of "you dont just forget how to catch balls" that may be true, but NOTHING gets into a WRs head more than drops. if a wr with great hands has a lot of drops early on, they start overthinking, actively trying not to mess up when catching and it just ends up making things worse, the overthinking creeps into the rest of their game. thats how sure handed guys end up flaming out due to drops. its literally what happened with jordan matthews, he was a surefire possession receiver in the nfl, and he had a moment where he was that, but the drops kept piling on and got worse and worse and more frequent, and now hes barely heard from.
Matthews was great early on and in about 2 years became phillys most hated player due to drops and he was bound to be shipped off before any injuries.Tbh in Matthew's case injuries have derailed his career.
I haven't watched every second of the 2nd game yet. Who was the Qb when those drops happened?
eh, had some good years but kinda down and up his whole career.Crabtree was one of the leagues premier possession receivers really up until his last year or two in Oakland
All part of being an NFL skill position player mental side of the game is just as important if not more so as the physical.Yessir. Thats why you gotta mentally tough for this shit
They’ve faced some really special receivers in their day, the fact that they’re doing this for the first time that we know of speaks volumes of Boykin, they must see a real special receiver with himReally liked to hear this today. Good for Boykin.

He really can be if he can fix his dropsies. A number of his drops were easily catchable too and that's the most frustrating part of it all. They’ve faced some really special receivers in their day, the fact that they’re doing this for the first time that we know of speaks volumes of Boykin, they must see a real special receiver with him
That was pretty cool by Carr and Smith.Really liked to hear this today. Good for Boykin.

Boykin had 3 targets and 3 receptions vs. the Browns. He also had 3 targets vs. the Cardinals, but only one catch. How has Boykin been looking? Seems like he’s only catching TDs. 1-2 targets a game. Is he just not getting separation?
I agree. Boykin - even as a rookie - feels like he's the #3 WRs on the roster (though I've seen Roberts making some good blocks on the outside in the run game).Boykin hasn't done much so far, but he also hasn't played that many snaps. As an example, he played only 21 snaps against the Browns while Hollywood played 56. I really hope that number starts to go up because, outside of Hollywood and Snead, our other WRs haven't shown much of anything this year.
